Yall........an anime themed restaurant? AND it's based on Dragonball?! Ummmm yeah, of course we will go! We have been wanting to try @dragon_bowlc for a very long time, and are happy that they are in Spring now, ALOT closer to us! Not that the Conroe location was super far but still! It is SOOOOO dope that there is a Dragonball theme restaurant here in the Houston area! They have a great variety of food here to try, so we will definitely be coming back here multiple times trying new foods! I think we should channel our inner Saiyan like Goku, or be like Majin Buu, order a huge spread, and just devour EVERYTHING. Yall know we have to come with a review because that's what we do! Shoutout to @dragon_bowlc for their grand opening at their new location! #DragonBowlC #DragonballZ #DragonballSuper #Dragonball #DragonballGT #AkiraToriyama #Anime #Manga #Japanese #Pho #Ramen #Drinks #Eggrolls #MilkTea #FruitTea #SparklingFruitTea #FriezaFrizzle #Bowls #Lunch #Dinner #ChaLaHeadChaLa #RockTheDragon #PATXFoodie #PATXFoodBlogger #HoustonRestaurants #Spring #Texas

My middle child loves Dragon Ball Z, so I was beyond excited when I found this place online. It’s a very small place, and when my 3 kids and I got there only one cook was cooking and serving while one woman took orders. I told the woman taking orders that it was our first time there, and asked if it was a kid-friendly place. She said that it wasn’t. She said we could eat outside or take it to go. I asked if we could eat at what-looked-to-be the restaurant, she said that we could not because that was the bar. I told my children that we would just eat outside. They agreed to eat outside. I ordered the food and paid for it, and once I paid for it the woman says that I can eat at the bar/restaurant area if I want. A couple of minutes ago she had said we could not eat there, but I shrug and say ok we’ll eat there. While I ordered, my 3 kids had been glued to a machine with dragon balls, and they asked me if we could get one. I asked the woman if she can give me a token, and she said those dragon balls are for adults-only. I asked if they were cigarettes or something, and she said yes. So, I explained to my children, and they understood. My kids said that the restaurant/bar looks too dark and scary, so I said that we’ll just take the food home. At that point, the cook/waiter calls my name, and I asked if we can take the food to go instead. He heads back to pack my food. At that point, my kids see 3 older kids putting tokens in the machine that I was told was for adults-only. When the waiter/cook hands me my bagged food, I ask if I, being the adult, can get a token. I explain to him that I was told the dragon balls are for adults-only. He mumbles something that I cannot hear and hands me a token. At that point, I tell him that this has been a very bad experience for us. He says to me “never mind, I don’t know what’s going on, we sell the dragon balls for $5, but never mind.” I tell him that I never said I wasn’t going to pay for the dragon ball, hand him a $5 bill. He is obviously upset about something, grabs my bill, and quickly turns to return to the kitchen. And the food? the kids and I didn’t like what we ordered. We only tasted it. The kids said the smell is off. We will just stick to Fabulous Pho and Hiba Hot Pot. This place is a never-again for us.

Awful experience. We had wanted to try this place for a while. The establishment is small so we ordered online from their website because I have two 4 month olds and there would be no room to fit a twin stroller. I got there 20min after placing the order and was told it wasn't ready yet which was fine so I waited. Another 20min later my food is still not ready but I'm still patiently waiting because the lady looks sad so hey maybe she's having a bad day. Five minutes later the is finally starting to box up my food but taking her sweet time walking back and forth and checking the order and computer and walking to the kitchen and back again. I'm just watching food get cold so I'm thinking is this woman high?! She finally prints out a huge log receipt and staples it to the bag and hands it to me. Almost an hour for food. I get to the car to check that I have everything before driving off and I'm missing the philly eggrolls and pot stickers. I take all the food and receipt back into the restaurant and show her. She's then confused and I felt like she didn't believe me because she's having to keep checking my order on their computer when I literally have the receipt she printed in her hand. After a few min of consulting with another lady she finally tells me sorry we'll get it made. So I'm waiting and waiting and 15min later my pot stickers are brought out and I'm told they're out of Philly eggrolls. I had to laugh because at this point I'm in disbelief and getting mad. I just waited all that time for you to tell me you're out of the eggrolls. She asked me what else do I want to substitute and I said let me call my husband and ask. He tells me he doesn't want anything else just get the money back for it because it's taking too long. So I ask for my money back on the philly eggrolls I was told were sold out. She went and got what I guess was the assistant manager or something named Tyler who was a very nice gentleman. He went on the computer to try and see what he could do. At that point my dad walked in who has been waiting in the car all this time with my mom to see what is going on. Tyler then tells me he can't give me the money back for the eggrolls because they use a 3rd party website and I'd have to contact them. At that point my eyes get huge and I tell him look I've been here for ages and my food is missing only for her to tell me you're now sold out of what I ordered and my food is cold I don't want to wait longer for anything else and you can't give me my money back . He then said o we have the philly eggrolls I can give you philly eggrolls. I lost it and went off about how that lady straight up lied to me and waisted all of my time. I wait so patiently for ages for that woman to lie like that. Tyler apologized and took my name and number down. My husband also called and was told the manager/owner would call us. The food I can't really give a good review on how it tastes because everything was all cold and dry by the time I got it. The eggrolls were small and it's 1 eggroll for $5 and the philly is significantly smaller than the brisket one. I think they should be bigger for $5. Also 2 weeks later and the manager/ owner still hasn't called us. What an amazing...

First, I will open and say that we drove from our usual weekend stomping grounds of south Houston to head here.

This will be relevant to my closing statement and I may make allusions to this later.

So, let's start with the gimmick. Dragon Ball themed ramen shop? Immediately it is an eye-catcher. One that convinced me and a group of friends to make the drive to the Conroe location since it was talked up more than the one a bit more south.

The statures are nice. The art is great. The DBZ on the TV is cool to see. However, you really won't be enjoying the ramen shop itself with how packed it can get there when people need to order.

Any group of 3 or more and you'll start to feel a little closed in.

Which means you'll be dining in the connected bar. No problem. A bit of a shame that a lot of the DBZ visuals and entertainment goes unused by the customer, but it pulls you in.

Now, the food on the other hand, is great. Solid ramen. Between me and two buddies we each tried a different ramen bowl and Boba drink.

Of the proteins we tried the chicken was the most underwhelming, but still solid. Wheras the top was the pork belly hands down.

Meanwhile I'd say there was a strong lean in the group vote that the coffee Boba was the best. No real complaints on any of the flavors we had.

The bowls can be very vegetable dense. Which on one hand is great for health options. However, it can feel a bit like a padding in comparison to some of the protein spread for the price paid.

I'd say the average customer can expect to be dropping $16-25 dollars a person depending on your fixings and drink of choice.

The service was all around solid and pretty chill. Casual and relaxing all around. No complaints there.

1 major word of warning for any of you who may consider a drive to the location though. Get there at open or at least early afternoon. As by the time we got there on a Saturday most of downtown Conroe was closing. Leaving little to engage with and further make of the day after a long drive to get here.

This is not a knock against the Dragon Bowl C. If anything, I'd say that the drive was worth the try of this place and if there was anything going on at Conroe I'd make the excuse to also swing by here.

If you already close to either location, please check them out. A niche ramen bar like this could easily build a strong grassroots community. Would love to see events hosted here between the ramen bar and connected bar with stage for live music.

However, if you would have to cross a distance to get to the locations, be sure to prep this as a stop. Mainly in regards to the Conroe location. As you may find the ramen bar being the place to enjoy if you don't time it right.

If I'm ever fortunate enough to be in the Conroe area you can bet I'll swing by for a bowl and Boba. Wish this place the best of luck as...

I chose this restaurant because 1. We like Asian food 2. We were hungry because we hadn’t had lunch and it was now 4 o’clock 3. The restaurant seem to have good reviews for their food.

I know it says that it’s a noodle bar, but somehow I wasn’t expecting no seating For dining in at the establishment. They seem to have an arrangement with the bar next-door to allow their customers to sit at their table and eat. It was really kind of spooky because we were the only people in that bar, and there were no lights on. The only light came through the glass frosted door. There wasn’t even a bartender there. At least the table seem to be clean.

We enjoyed the potstickers we ordered. They were hot and they had a nice sauce that they had on them and we liked the chili sweet sauce that was provided.

A minor issue was that they had put the lids on the pho that we had ordered backwards from what they actually were so I got my husband‘s brisket pho and he got my steak pho. That was quickly sorted out.

The pho was hot and the vegetables provided were fresh. We were told that there were jalapeños in the bag with the vegetables, but we didn’t find any which is OK for us because we don’t care for jalapeños, but had someone been looking for those they would’ve been disappointed And confused because we were told that they were in there.

We built our own pho bowls, which I kind of liked Because I felt it gave me more control over my food. There was a list of things that they were out of about eight or nine things, but the rice noodles was not on that list so we both Ordered our pho bowls With rice noodles. Only to be told after we had sat down to wait for our food to be delivered that they were also out of rice noodles. We eventually settled on ramen noodles.

They didn’t have any unsweet iced tea, which I find really strange being that they are in Texas and ice tea right after light beer is the official drink of Texas. I would strongly advise them to get a carafe of tea going. Actually, two so that they could have sweet tea and unsweet tea. They had many many drink choices, but we finally settled on water because so many of them either were sweetened with aspartame like Diet Coke or they were sweetened with sugar, and both of us are diabetic, which is why we wanted the unsweet tea.

The fellow who was helping us was very pleasant and knowledgeable. I wish they had shown that each ingredient for the.Pho Bowl that you build your own was five dollars per ingredient. I might’ve settled on ordering something else. So my my steak And noodles and broth were five dollars each. I was looking at some other things that I might have added and I’m glad I didn’t because $15 for a bowl of pho is a bit pricey. However, the potstickers were six dollars and I think that that is...
