Hartz Chicken #185 — Restaurant in Conroe

One star because I cannot leave ZERO This has to be the filthiest Hartz location I have ever visited. We watched the manager use serving trays to shove the garbage down into the waste containers, then he sat those trays on top of the cabinet instead of carrying them to the back to be washed. Upon completing the task of shoving down the garbage, we watched him walk into the kitchen and grab a set of tongs and start bagging someone's order.... Without putting on gloves or washing his hands! The restaurant was mostly empty when we arrived, however there was not a clean table in the restaurant. The floor was littered with food and trash. The drink area and machines were very dirty, they had dried drink stains running down front and sides of the machines and onto the counter. There was food all over the surface around the steam table containers and on the floor. Employees seemed to have ample time to spend on their cell phones, but not enough time to properly clean the restaurant. I've been a Hartz customer for many years and eaten at locations all over and around Houston. I don't like leaving such a bad review, but I quite frankly I was getting more disgusted by the minute and left hungry because I could not stomach the thought of eating in such filth. The chicken tasted good, however we could help but wonder if the manager handled trash then served food... Then where had the hands been that prepared our food? I will NEVER return to this location and strongly urge others to...

Today me and my family visited Hartz in Conroe Texas, as I can say IT SUCKED...we visit the Hartz in Cleveland Texas all the time and it's amazing! The prices are more expensive in Conroe and all the food was watered down,the manager charged for my son and he isn't even 3 yet, when Cleveland don't charge for him...he doesn't even eat enough for a bird! My mom didn't even eat after she saw how much it was for 2 senior citizen, and saw the food all watered down! The guy even kept my receipt so I couldn't call back! It was lunch time at the time we came in and that should be the time where you keep your buffet FULL and HOT! The good was cold, which means they didn't even have the steam bar up to par! I am calling the BBB as well and channel 2 news, Emily Akin! We spoke with the manager and his response was, I DONT OWN THIS PLACE, I DONT CARE! My dad is 79 year old WWII Vietnam Vet and when he went to the restroom to wash his hands, someone had crapped in the trash can because the toilet was so nasty you couldn't even use it! There are plenty of other places to eat at in Conroe, and I wouldn't make this one of...

This is a pic after I decided to go back in to get proof. We started eating and was happy with the amount of different options until my daughter said she didn't like her Mac & cuz. It tasted like milk macaroni with orange dye...no cheese flavor. That is a first for us. The trash cans were so gross I didn't want to touch the flaps to push my trash in there. We went to the bathroom but there was no way to get soap out. I told the lady working there and she rolled her eyes at me and said ''Yes there is 🙄". I go back into the bathroom and she proceeds to show me how the button didn't work and you just have to take the lid off and dip your hands in there to get soap. 😳 I said, "That's not sanitary!". She said her husband doesn't know how to fix it. I asked for a different soap dispenser. She said they didn't have one. I go to use a paper towel to dip in and get some soap out and there's curdled... something probably germs in there!!! We go back in the dining room, I decide we should get proof, and I see the lady go back in there to change out the soap with new soap. I can't believe they do this and handle...
