There are lots of places where you can buy donuts. The new Shipleys location on Conroe Loop 336 SW doesnât have to be one of them!
We recently went to the newly opened Shipleyâs Do-Nuts location on Conroe Loop 336 SW. We had been looking forward to its opening because it is now the closest Shipleyâs location to our home.
What a disappointment!
Since there is a Shipleyâs Do-Nuts sign out front, we expected the donuts to be of good quality. Unfortunately, our expectations were not met. The jelly filled donuts contained hardly any jelly filling at all. The donuts were not light and fluffy as we have come to expect from Shipleys.
We considered using the rest of the donuts as doorstops but decided they would just attract roaches (and would probably make the roaches diabetic).
In addition, the service here is atrocious! When my wife buys donuts, she usually buys a dozen or more for the family, and she prefers to have them boxed a certain way so that the donuts lay flat rather than standing up against each other. This keeps the different flavors of donuts (chocolate, cherry frosting, banana crĂšme, simple glazings etcetera) from rubbing off on each other.
At every other Shipleyâs location where we have purchased donuts, my wifeâs packaging preferences are always happily accommodated.
But thatâs not the case at this location! Here, they insisted on telling my wife how her donuts could be packaged. Despite my wifeâs repeated requests to be accommodated since she would be buying plenty of donuts, they refused.
As I said at the outset of this review, there are plenty of places where we can buy donuts. If they persuaded us of anything at this Shipleys location, itâs that we donât need or want to buy our donuts here.
Shipleyâs quality control team needs to inspect this location, its products and its services before they do any more damage to the Shipleys...
Read moreHave seen this location recently and wanted to try since we live around the corner. Walked in with a majorly loud doorbell and alarm that said âFRONT DOORâ - waited a few moments looking at our options, heard grunting and laughing from the back, figured employees were on their phone and maybe just couldnât hear, but would eventually come to the front to help. Waited a few more moments and loudly spoke that I wish they had a ring bell to be alerted to customers. Then I even purposely opened the door again to have the alarm and voice, STILL no service. Walked out very disappointed as I did really want to try the sausage, egg, & cheese kolache. Hopefully next time we try this location, there will actually be someone ready to help and serve their customers. Itâs one thing to be on your phone during down time and when a customer walks in, acknowledge and help them. But to be completely out of view and your customers waiting on help can hear you doing whatever in the back,...
Read moreClaudia the new Manager was Very Rude to a Store Employee while she was waiting on Customers. Claudia grabbed the bag of Kolaches off the counter and started asking the Customers what did you order and then proceeded to open the Kolaches checking them to see of they were right then handing them the bag back. All without gloves! Claudia continued to oversee her Employee doing the samething to at least 7 more Customers. The Owners need to check the Camera's and voice recording to see what is taking place at this Store. Inaddition to that Claudia told the Older Employee everything she did was wrong! Also Claudia did Not Train the Employee upon hiring her, which is Set up.for Failure Or the Manager might have been 'Managing the Emplyees Way Out' which she did quit...
