Salt & Stone just opened about a week ago so we had to check it out. Its location is perfect on Fayette Street. There is street parking or a parking garage across the street. We had reservations but got there a little early to check out the bar. We were greeted by a very warm and friendly hostess. Didn’t get her name but I loved her tattoos! She checked us in and said she would come get us once the table was ready.
The place was very lively which was impressive for only being open a week. Not an empty seat in the house. Very clean and trendy with all of the unique, different lighting fixtures. We stood at the end of the bar to grab a drink. The male bartender was super busy making the servers drinks. My husband and I are very patient and understanding of the business and not the people to be like “hey excuse me over here.” We stood there for about 10 minutes with no greeting though - it’s always nice to hear “hey I’ll be right with you” but there was no acknowledgement until we saw a seat open up at the other end. He waves us back over and we politely said we were fine where we were because now we had a seat! Kim came over immediately to take our drink order. She was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the smoked lavender haze and my husband ordered the smoked conshy ember - amazing drinks. I love the electronic smoker they use. We finished our drinks and the hostess came over to seat us. We were seated at a 2 top in the middle of the dining room. Very tight quarters but we were fine. We were greeted quickly by our server, Kyle. He was great throughout the whole dinner. Social, attentive, and really nice. We ordered some drinks and the brussel sprouts and goat cheese lollipops. Brussel sprouts could use just a little help. They came out very under seasoned and very hard- I like when they are a little crispy and well done. The bacon was a nice touch but the sauce on the bottom was very subtle and barely there. Goat cheese lollipops were perfect. There are 4 to an order and I couldn’t wait - I dug in right away. They are served on top of a honey drizzle and toasted almonds. The breading on the outside was so nice and crispy. I wanted more! For dinner, I had the salmon over couscous and my husband ordered the NY Strip with mashed potatoes. My salmon was cooked perfectly, nicely seasoned, and the couscous in the tomato based sauce was delicious. Very flavorful. I also tried the steak and potatoes and so delicious as well, especially the sauce that came with it. The steak was cooked perfect for my husband and he really enjoyed it. Dessert: we had the crème brûlée and two smoked espresso martinis. Let me tell you about this crème brûlée: wow. The creme part was so nice and creamy and the top part- the perfect glaze color with the beautiful crunch. Devine! Smoked espresso martinis were delicious and perfectly made. What I also loved was the owner, Dmitri, came over to everyone’s table at least twice. He was so involved and helping his staff. Beautiful to see and I truly hope he keeps doing that. Overall: I see why there are all 5 star reviews. This place is small, but very comfortable and lively. Nice decor all around and Dmitri hand picked a wonderful staff. Everyone we encountered was smiling, warm, and friendly. The vibe and atmosphere was loud (but not in a bad way) with nice upbeat music, but you can still have conversation and not have to yell. Great food (doctor up the sprouts!) and drinks. Also have to shout out the server assistant/busser. He hustled all night and was such a hard worker! Highly recommend checking out this new hot spot in the heart of Conshohocken. I think and hope they will be a...
Read moreI’ll start by saying that the overall dining experience was outstanding and certainly exceeded our expectations.
Food: We started with the Goat Cheese Lollipops. A simple appetizer that was packed with tons of flavor - absolutely delicious. For entrees we went with the Lobster Ravioli & the Braised Lamb Shank. Side note - the entree options made it difficult to choose as each dish sounded incredible. Both choices we made were nothing but spectacular. The lobster ravioli complemented by the cream sauce hit different and something I would for sure order again. However, the Braised Lamb Shank was the real stand-out of the entire meal. Topped with a Parmesan Brussel Sprout crisp & covered with a port wine jus, the lamb was cooked to perfection. The meat fell right off the bone into a bed of toasted orzo providing even more flavor. I would consider this a “death row” final meal for sure.
Drink: We tried a variety of cocktails because similar to the entree lineup, they all sounded so delicious. Overall, my favorite drink was the Conshy Ember which is a play on a Manhattan. Of course, I had to get it smoked which was subtly a great experience in it of itself.
Service: Our waitress was Sarah - she was friendly, personable, and provided her honest opinions and recommendations for both food and drinks. Her attentiveness and care made us feel very special as opposed to just being another guest. The owner Dimitri and his wife, Zara are great people. They represent what every restaurant owner should strive to be - offering a friendly greeting upon entering, walking around to each table, conversing with the guests, making you feel like you are family. Their dynamic is unstoppable and adds nothing but positives to the overall dining experience.
Overall, Salt & Stone is a must try spot in Conshy. They are a perfect addition to the town and seemingly do everything right from ambiance to food and service. We will absolutely be frequent diners at...

Salt and Stone is truly something special. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a beautiful, thoughtfully designed atmosphere. Elegant, yet inviting, it’s the kind of place that instantly sets the tone for a perfect night out with friends or for a date night.
Now the food…I had to try as much as I could in one visit and every dish is a STANDOUT. The flavors are bold yet balanced, seasoned to perfection, and somehow manage to feel both indulgent and light. Honestly, you could eat your way through the entire menu (and you should), because everything is just that good. The goat cheese lollipops? 10000/10. Absolutely unforgettable. They alone are worth the visit. The chocolate lava cake was such a great twist on a classic. It’s light, not too sweet, and just the perfect way to wrap up the meal. It pulled everything together without feeling heavy.
Now moving on to the drinks-Next-level! Not only are the cocktails creative and beautifully crafted, some of them come smoked, adding this dramatic, aromatic layer that takes the whole experience up a notch. & if you don’t drink alcohol, they have a bunch of mocktail options that are just as amazing. I got the cucumber cooler and it was super refreshing.
The staff is warm, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. You can feel the care behind every plate and every interaction.
