Bluewater Seafood - Champions — Restaurant in Jersey Village

Our young Latino server, Jeremiah, was very personable and attentive.

My wife, sister-in-law and her husband had shrimp meals, which they enjoyed; however, my wife’s Diet Coke was flat (which she never mentioned until after we left).

My order started with a cup of New England Clam Chowder. I also ordered a Grilled Chicken Po-boy, SANDWICH ONLY with just the bun, the grilled chicken, and with blue cheese dressing.

The chowder was served first but within 2 minutes of my meal (it was supposed to be SANDWICH ONLY).

NE Clam chowder is served as a THICK, creamy soup, loaded with tender, diced potatoes and generous amounts of clams. My soup was watery, with few pieces of potatoes or clams. Although the flavor was good, it wasn’t a quality chowder worth the money ($4.99/cup).

I called over the manager to make him aware of the less than satisfying quality of the chowder. He listened, nodded, then left my table.

After he left, I ate a little more of the soup, searching for any clams and potatoes. There wasn’t any more. I left half of the soup in the cup. I realized that the cook probably never dipped deeply to stir the chowder before ladling it into my cup. (That still wouldn’t correct the wateriness of the soup.)

My order was for SANDWICH ONLY, with grilled chicken, blue cheese dressing, and bun ONLY. Instead, I got the platter, sandwich included lettuce, tomato, cooked sliced yellow peppers, and fries. I didn’t order the fries, ONLY the sandwich.

I picked out the yellow peppers and ate the sandwich and a few fries.

Since our hosts were paying, I didn’t create a scene. That said, the next time we eat there, I will insist the Manager...

I showed up 30 minutes before closing time. I had the loaded gumbo! So good and it was 39 degrees outside! Just what the doctor ordered! The best part? My server, Joshua Jeremiah Garcia! This young man treated me like family, like I was his family. He is naturally charismatic and an absolute delight! He was warm, friendly, kind, and so much more. I was having a stressful day and he made my day! All the servers are awesome. He was MY server and I've never seen such compassion! It was infectious. This young man, full of personality, truly will be a force to be reckoned with. He is going places and will go great things! Someday I would love to say he was my waiter that cold night in January and I would smile! I couldn't think more highly of him! He must have have wonderful parents, to give us this special young man. Thank you God, for Joshua Jeremiah Garcia! I can't stop thinking about my night with the loaded gumbo and Joshua Jeremiah Garcia! All of my family lives out of town and I just needed him last night and the gumbo. Tip your servers well! If you get my server Joshua, make it a big tip! I wish nothing but the best for him. Food as OK. It was immediately drowned out by the awful service. Maybe our server just had a bad night. My bad night, at this restaurant, started when I received the wrong margarita mix. I didn’t voice it. It was a decent drink. My boyfriend ordered his meal. 10 minutes after he received his meal, the waitress literally came up and grabbed his plate and closely examined it like it was a foreign specimen. We were turned off by how close her face was in his plate. After letting him know he had fried crawfish instead of shrimp (how can you see the difference from the popcorn shrimp?) she said if he touched anything on the plate. WHY on earth does it matter unless you are willing to give that plate to someone else? After talking and laughing over a plate for 10 minutes, I wouldn’t dare serve another customer that plate. Anyway, he kept the plate. My friend and I had our food delivered about 30 min later (we ordered after my bf). My order was wrong and instead of bringing the right order on a separate dish after the wait, she take my plate again. 20 min later she came back with the right dish. By that time, I was done. We had to call for her in passing because she did not check on us but once. Other cooks brought our food out and I hated to disturb them.
