I give them 2 stars because the waiter Jason was fantastic. I reserved the back room for a large party. Over 25 people and he was the only waiter, which I blame management for. However, he was very professional and worked extremely hard the entire time. I filled out a contract and paid a reservation fee which was not a problem, however at 1pm on the same day of the event I was asked were we coming. Seriously?! Thank goodness I caught the call. If not I’m sure it would not have been ready. When I submitted the contract I asked what was there policy in reference to the number of people who attend and was advised by Jaclyn Dowell that I would not be charged for guess that may not make it to the event. That was a lie. Not only did they charge me for my few guest that did not make it, Mike the manager tried to charge me the adult price for all the guest. When I questioned the bill, he says he wasn’t aware there were kids present and I was being charged for the amount listed on the contract. Maybe if you had come to greet us when we arrived instead of sending Frank, who by the way, got my order and my vegetarian friend’s order wrong twice. You would have known who was there. Mike, the manager changed the check only to charge me 7.95 for the kids even though the contract states 5.95. And no the contract was not completed more than 30 days prior to the event. I don’t understand Mike, I guess you only follow the portion of the contract that benefits you. If you are wondering why I didn’t argue with you and just paid the extra money it is because of the extreme headache I had from waiting over an hour for my food that was still wrong but we had no choice but to eat at that point. I'm not one for calling out prices on a restaurant, but dear lord. Never in my life have I ever seen 1lb of fajitas go for $50.. and at that they claim it served 2-3 people. No REAL Mexican food will or has ever cost that much. I will say I haven't been to a Lupe tortilla in 2 years give or take but I definitely will never go to one now. Their prices are horribly inflated, everything is mostly 8oz or less in size and costs an absorbent amount of money. For Mexican food. I know good food, and I'm willing to dish out the cash for a good meal but I know when someone is to to set a Rip off price for food. Not even gringos is that horrible with pricing. And I dont really enjoy their portions either. I wouldn't recommend anyone going here unless they are willing to dish out a high amount of cash for fake Mexican food, save yourself the trouble and go to anywhere but here. I didn't even bother to eat here. But I know when something's not right, I'm a fine diner by nature and this is anything but a fine dining experience. I'd rather go get a great steak in the Woodlands at flemings, or better yet. If you want to hit the sweet spot for Mexican food just settle for something just as good, Los cucos. I ordered 3 braised beef enchilada with extra cheese. I must have order this maybe at least over 7 or 8 times this year its never had onions on it. I have food allergy and doesn'tsay this on the menu. I call the restaurant to inquire why is my enchiladas covered in raw tiny white onion. Spoke to Mgr Dave he stated that he going to ask the cook if comes with onions. He did come back and say the cook or chef stated it come with onions. He apologized but then just rushed the call said thank you have a good day and hung up while I was talking. I wasn't sure if he heard me talking and was being rude or it was a delay in the call and he didn't hear me. Either way I called back to ask to speak with him again to ask him what happened because I was talking he said I thought we were done. I told I was talking saying I have food allergy. He was like, what would like me to remake your order? I personally didn't like the way he asked me and came off rude too me. I will NEVER order from them again I was loyal customer.
