I read all the reviews for this location and saw the raving comments about an infamous employee named “EMILY.” As someone who frequently visits pawn shops—both for goods and services—I thought to myself, there’s no way one employee could be that outstanding.

I’m used to being insulted, ripped off, and treated poorly 95% of the time when seeking loan services. My back-story in short is, up until 2024, I had several years of financial prosperity. During that time, I also developed a bit of a shopping problem, filling a five-bedroom house and a huge garage to the brim with stuff. Now that my finances have taken a hit, I often need spare cash between paychecks. While I have no shortage of items to pawn, I’m frequently met with the “this looks stolen” glare and ridiculously low offers.

For example, I once went to the “other big pawn brand” desperate to pay my phone bill. I brought in an entire DeWalt power tool set (five+ tools, all like new with chargers and batteries), and they offered me $50—barely enough to cover a single battery at a resell price! I understand the store needs to leave room for profit in case I default, but that was a joke.

This week, I did my research and came across all the glowing reviews about EMILY at EZ Pawn off 1960. Earlier that day, I had taken an entire DeWalt ToughSystem stack—nine toolboxes, including the large base with a dolly—ALL of them filled with high-end woodworking tools, hardware, clamps, and power tools (everything from DeWalt, Rockler, and Kreg). The AM at Cash America off 249 took one look and said he’d give me $30—but only if I threw in my tire inflator that I actually use! That offer didn’t even cover the smallest toolbox (if it were empty), which retails for $70 and resells for $50.

Frustrated, I went to EZ Pawn off Jones Road and 1960, but the lady there dismissed me before even looking at my items, claiming they “don’t take in tools or toolboxes.” Yeah right….the lady did not feel like working … since when do pawn shops not take in power tools that are like new and complete?? This is the 3rd time this location said they don’t take in what I am offering. I tried once to get a 50.00 loan on a 700.00 Dyson, and once I needed a $150-200 loan in exchange for my fully loaded MacBook with M2 chip and tons of memory, it was complete with an apple mouse, a track pad and an additional port docking station… she wouldn’t do it, I went a mile down the road and got 400 for it without the accessories and without hassle. I picked it up 2 weeks later and have since gotten 4 additional loans on it…that store makes 80-100 bucks a pop off me for each loan.,and always pick it up … Oh well Their loss!

So I found out about EZ Pawn off FM 1960 - so there I went to check it out for myself…..after arrival I was helped by a kind employee named Nette. But bc I had so many full toolboxes, the transaction became a bit involved, and another employee stepped in to assist. I looked up at her name tag, and there it was: EMILY. I thought, Wow, she really is all they say she is in the reviews.

Emily assisted Nette from start to finish, ensuring I got the best loan possible. In fact, she gave me more than I asked for and even offered a little extra on top of that!! Most importantly, she treated me with respect—as a human being. That one experience alone has convinced me to go get everything I currently have in hock at other locations, pay them off, and bring it all here. I am now 100% loyal to this store, this location, and these employees.

EZ Pawn made the right choice hiring Emily and Nette—two compassionate professionals who take care of their customers while still leaving enough room for the shop to profit. I couldn’t be more excited to have had such a positive pawn loan experience.

Ms.Emily is tremendously gracious and humble when it comes to customer service her amiable vibe is contagious with the say she handles everyone she's there to not only for work but also to help others find remarkable deals buying or selling her and Mr.Joe's warming smile and his consideration of others belongings offering prices that can't be beat anywhere else we can't forget about Ms.Antoinette who's unbeatable communication skills are extraordinary she's soft spoken but she'll sale you a home if they had some she's do sweet and joyful she's always provided me with negotiations I can't pass on I would so recommend this EZ PAWN TO EVERY ONE EVEN IF YOUR JUST PASSING BY OR LOOKING FOR THE PERFECT GIFT FOR MOTHERS OR FATHERS DAY FOR BIRTHDAYS OR EVEN YOURSELF MAYBE JUST TO LET SOMEONE KNOW YOUR THINKING OF THEM THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO MAYBE YOU JUST NEED SOMEONE TO TALK TO THESE PEOPLE ARE...
