Samba Brazilian Steakhouse — Restaurant in Siesta Key

If you don't have a reservation don't even waste your time. I had been very excited and looking forward to going there for a while now, when i was finally able to i went there without a reservation which I didn’t know I needed btw bc they’re always on social media making it seem like walk ins are welcomed , anyway I stood there for about 10-15 min waiting when one of the servers asked if I had a reservation, I said “no” then he said you need one, then I said “do we need to leave then” He said “yes” looking at us up and down like we were not welcome there. Mind you, it was just me and my husband and we were the only people waiting there to be seated the whole time we were there, the people the came in at the same time as us got seated. They could've quoted us a certain amount of time, or asked if we wanted a reservation for later in the day (which I checked on their site after and they did have available), we would've came back, or a seat at the bar that was empty. Felt very disrespected, discriminated, humiliated and unwelcomed which is a bummer, first impressions count and this one will cause me to not ever go back, which sucks bc I was really looking forward to a Brazilian restaurant that reminds me of home and my parents cooking. My whole family is Brazilian and let me tell you, this is not Brazilian hospitality. Also, I have been to several Brazilian restaurants and I never seen them turn people down before, not even fogo de chão that is super busy is so picky regarding reservations . I also follow them on social media and there was no posts about needing reservations for today. Very disappointing experience, really did bum me out especially since I was so excited to go there after seeing them on social media for a while and it just seemed like such a nice welcoming place. It’s not about the fact that they couldn’t sit us but really how they treated us like we didn’t matter or we weren’t good enough to eat there,and how poorly they handled the situation and just let us walk out , 0/10 customer service, 0/10...

Absolutely delicious steaks cooked and seasoned perfectly and served with an abundance of equally tasty sides, many of the delectably starchy and garlicy variety. Even the white rice is made with an addicting hint of flavor that makes savoring every bite--as opposed to inhaling it--a trial of self-control.

The decor is similar to other Brazilian Steakhouses I've been to on the peninsula: a nice open space with sleek wooden flooring and fixtures with earthy green plant treatments on the walls, as well a hip and impressive B&W murals of costal vistas and, understandably, a big photograph of Christ the Redeemer. The centerpiece though is the gigantic assemblage of multiple large televisions configured to operate as one gargantuan jumbo screen often playing soccer games when they're playing and loops of mostly drone footage of what I assume to be the coast of Rio de Janeiro otherwise.

It seems to be a family enterprise with the proprietor and chef being quite amiable and welcoming, as is the rest of the staff, happy to grant any reasonable accommodations and answer any questions, especially about the food.

It's a great place to dine, especially for families, and I look forward...

The place is nice, the staff is great, super friendly, the ambiance is fun and light. I noted a lot of Brazilian families come here.

This has a higher price for a la carte place; specially for the size of the servings but overall the food is worth it.

The staff cares how we are doing during the time we are there. We have at least 2 or 3 people to check if we are doing good. That is real nice.

I do must say that their main meals are amazing specially their feijoada. But that one is only served in specific days and times. So calling and asking is important.

I feel like they can work on their drinks, I have not been able to drink full drink there, they are usually not tasty or too strong.

For the food. What I recommend:

Feijoada Picanha Gorgonzola picanha Picanha and piamontese Mineirão Caldo verde Cocada Pudim de leite

I would not recommend and will NEVER have again:

Caipirinha de tangerina, morango. Brigadeiro cremoso

Overall it’s a nice place. Just sad that today we did not like the brigadeiro at all it was heavy and not good. They still charged us. But I like the food and will come back. Will just never had the stuff I...
