We recently visited The Ramyun Zip in Centreville, and it was such a fun and unique experience! If you love instant noodles, this is the perfect spot to explore an incredible variety of ramyun from all over Asia. They’ve thoughtfully categorized their selection by spice level, making it easy to find something that suits your heat tolerance—whether you’re looking for a mild and comforting bowl or a fiery challenge. The process is simple and interactive, adding to the enjoyment. First, you pick your favorite pack of instant noodles from their well-stocked shelves, then head to the register to pay. At this point, you can decide whether to enjoy just the noodles as they are or upgrade to the unlimited toppings bar—which we highly recommend! The toppings bar lets you customize your bowl with as many extras as you’d like, and don’t forget to ask for the soft-boiled egg—it’s a must. Once you’ve loaded up on toppings, you move on to the automatic instant noodle cooking stations, which are easy to use with step-by-step instructions. After your noodles are perfectly cooked, you can add cheese from the toppings bar (if you opted for the add-on) for that extra layer of indulgence. Then, it’s time for the best part—snapping a quick pic and enjoying your creation! Beyond the noodles, The Ramyun Zip has a great selection of cold drinks and frozen desserts, perfect for pairing with your meal. They offer a variety of Asian soft drinks, milk teas, and refreshing sodas to round out the experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making sure everything ran smoothly and answering any questions we had. Once you’re done eating, they have a well-organized clean-up station, where you dispose of leftover soup, wrappers, and utensils, and stack the special induction cooker bowls in the designated area. Overall, The Ramyun Zip is such a fun and interactive way to enjoy instant noodles with a customized twist. Whether you’re a casual noodle fan or an instant ramyun connoisseur, this place is a must-visit. We’re already looking forward to coming back for another round!

Really kind of just a pointless experience. It's relatively inexpensive and a neat idea, but the execution just isn't good and I don't see this place lasting very long. The food itself isn't bad, but you're paying $6 minimum for some instant noodles, which you can just get a whole pack of right across the street at H-Mart. They have a selection of toppings, but it's very limited (a few different vegetable options, some shredded cheese, and some sliced rice cake, with a couple spicy sauce options that are kind of redundant since you can just get one of the spicy noodles anyway). On top of this they charge $1 per topping you select (looking online now supposedly there's an unlimited topping option for $3 more but there wasn't a menu there we could see that on), so you're likely going to be spending closer to $8-10 for a slightly better pack of instant noodles.

There's not very good seating (8 chairs total and 3 little standing tables) and it's not the type of food you can just take to walk around the plaza with and eat while you walk.

Communication wasn't great and there was only one person working upfront. The toppings were also mostly empty and there was trash piling up in the corner.

All that said, it's not a bad experience and I wouldn't say to avoid it or anything, it's a cheap meal if you're already out, but there's much better quality food in the same area (for not that much more in cost) and you can get almost the exact same meal at home for much cheaper in like 5 minutes with...

Pretty good, but unprepared for the competition within Centreville.

Within .25 miles, you can spend $2 more and get significantly nicer food, or spend the same amount and get better quantity, healthiness, and with less customer labor.

Generally, a tip shouldn't be requested at the register when the customer does everything except scan it. From choosing, to opening, grabbing toppings, and cooking.

To only offer bottled water @ $1.75, and no water cups, while serving spicy food? Too audacious. This is Centreville; the tap water is consistent and safe.

The staff was very helpful, but the place was unprepared for customers not already familiar with their order workflow.

There were instructions on individual steps in the process (e.g. how to use the cooking stations), but not on the overarching order process. Normally it doesn't matter, because most restaurants don't introduce an entirely new order process. (this could be imperfectly solved by labelling the right...
