Food is delicious. Perfect portions. I ate everything on my plate and most times I leave stuff on my plate. Grits were perfect, soft, creamy and delicious. Country fried steak might be the best I ever had. I tried the crabcake eggs benedict the second time I went and they were good just expected to find like some pieces of lump crab meat in the crab cake but I didn't find that. Seems like it may have been processed crab meat. Tasty, just not what I expected. Eggs Benedict for beautifully presented and perfect. But my favorite has to be the country fried steak. Sweet tea and coffee just right. Quaint view out the booth windows on the side of the little golf area adjacent to the restaurant. Spanish moss hanging from the trees. Picturesque. The restaurant itself looks like a big sprawling old one floor country house with a big veranda in the prettiest shade of seafoam blue green. Wish I had taken a picture of the outside of the restaurant itself. But I'm sure if you Google there are people who have. Staff is courteous and friendly greets you and seats you immediately. No long wait. The restaurant is spacious and tables are well spaced out. You can tell that they pay attention to customer service here. There was even someone to open the inner door on our way in and someone to open the outer door on our way out. Not expected but nice touch. He was friendly greeted us on our way out and said hopefully it'll warm up a bit as it was a little chilly on this particular day. He looked a little cold! I hope he went inside and got a jacket. Sweet kid. Nice experience and you have to go for the food. Try that country fried steak.

We were about 10 a.m. for breakfast, and there was room in the parking lot as well as the restaurant. We got seated into a booth. Almost immediately, Jennifer was there to take our order for coffee. She came back a few minutes later with a whole pot and two cups. Then she took our order for blueberry pancakes and Ham for me and my wife got country fried steak and eggs. While we waited for the chef to cook the food, Jennifer brought us heated syrup for my pancakes, extra creamer and extra butter. Then she showed up with the food. I've never seen a restaurant put so many blueberries in their pancakes. All of the food was great, and we had so much we had to get a box to take some of it home. The restaurant was fairly large with a view to the next door Golf Course. There were plenty of comfortable booths and tables. As a side note I had dropped a $100 bill when I pulled my phone out of my pocket. Jennifer could have easily kicked it under the booth, but instead, she brought it up and handed it to me. Obviously, she got an above-average tip, which she deserved anyway for great service.

Came down from Fayetteville to visit the beach wanted to catch breakfast with My wife, we were sat pretty quickly host was very nice, our server seemed nice but she seemed overwhelmed by all the tables. I was starving and she pushed on me that I can only order drinks first so I waited until the manager order our food but then she didn't even write down a order my wife asked. The server later fixed it, we finally got food so let's talk I had the pecan and banana pancakes and they were so dry like we had drown it in syrup to enjoy it my next item I got was the crabcake Benedict but it wasn't really good for what it was the egg was prefect but the crabcake was to mushy like no love behind it. Make it was a bad day, but I didn't have a good time. The server gave us the receipt to pay in front in middle of us eating that's when we knew that I won't be coming back. I'm currently enlisted in the military and I asked if they had a discount but didn't even know when I was in the front. Anyone who goes I hope you have a better experience.

My husband and I went for breakfast on Father's Day. I ordered poached eggs, bacon, grits, toast and one biscuit with sausage gravy. My husband ordered steak and eggs with home fries and toast. He was very specific that he wanted his steak well done. We waited approximately 30 minutes for our food which was understandable as it was busy being Sunday and Father's Day to boot. When the food arrived the waitress said here is your well done steak. My food was was cooked properly and was very tasty but when my husband cut into his steak it was bright red inside. He called the waitress back over and sent the food back. The waitress was very apologetic. The owner came by the table and my husband flagged him down to complain about the steak and his only comment was we are very busy today. It took quite along time for his food to come back out, so long infact that I had long finished my food. When his food returned they had just tried to cook the same steak longer, well that only makes it tough. He told the waitress, she was apologetic and said she completely understood. She said we could speak with the owner Bill. We told her we had spoke to him earlier. She flagged him down and he came over and she explained that he no longer wanted the food. His response (very exasperated) " fine, just don't ever come back". The waitress was about in tears the way he spoke to us. She and her manager comped our check. We offered to pay for the food we received but they were insistent. We have never had a owner tell us not to come back to their establishment. Don't worry Bill we weren't planning...

When your food comes to the table the land o lakes individual butter packets are on the plate with your food. The two packets on my plate were OPENED and had been USED! The waitress was very nice and removed the food from our bill but she stated that if they look unopened they reuse them. So my husband and I then observed to see how they handled things on the table after people leave. The guy cleaning tables put the “unused” butter packets to the side on the dirty cart that used dishes/trash/food go on. So there you have it. You remove butter you don’t want from your plate, he comes to clean the table and touches everyone at the tables dirty plate, then touches the butter and sits it on the DIRTY cart, THEN someone puts it on top of The NEXT PERSON’S FOOD when they serve it to them! The manager that rang up our bill was very rude! Informed me that they are a five star restaurant and they didn’t do that! He was very ugly to me and did not apologize for the used butter on my plate. But clearly the waitress told us and we watched to see for ourselves! If they aren’t reusing the butter why didn’t the person cleaning tables trash it with the food and other items off the table! Very nasty! Very unsanitary!!!! Never seen anything like this in...
