We were excited to try this new place as it was close to home and shown in one of our favorite shows - Shark Tank. There was a line which we were willing to wait for. Right when we placed our orders and paid the $20 for two cones they told us to wait ten minutes as they were making fresh cones. I asked my son to put a timer which is the funny part to me. We walked next door to look at the cutest Mexican restaurant through the window and came right back. Literally almost 4 minutes. Came back and sat inside everyone (including employees) saw my cute puppy on my lap. As I noticed other numbers being called I told my son to check if we had been called. A girl responded in a rude tone “ ughhh we called it a long time ago” with a rude face and a tone. My son came back to me and I then proceeded to ask another employee his response was “ yea we called it a long time ago, I even went outside and screamed it out and everyone looked at me weird”. In a rude tone and hand gesture he then proceeded to give me the ice cream, which of course was melted. About a few minutes later the same guy proceeds with a tone to say if my puppy wasn’t a service animal she should be outside. We said ok and sat outside with no issues. The kids ate their ice cream… the cone was hard .. so obviously not fresh.
We are glad we tried a new place but we will not return. We are huge in customer service due to our work background so we know this could have been handled in a different . You could have said all that but in a different way.
Oh and because you have new customers coming in and a huge line forming i suggest placing another dog sign, on the right side So it’s not blocked. Also lastly, if the employees see the puppy when ordering instead of acknowledging it for being cute just mention it right away.
Feedback helps us grow and I hope it helps along with the other few about...
Read moreThe concept and tastes are fantastic. The "cones" are unique (think upside-down beehive, lightly crispy outside and chewy inside) and dusted with cinnamon sugar or limited-edition things like ground coconut. Inside the cone is lined with peanut butter, "cookie butter", or Nutella. The ice cream rises above like the classic cone treat, and can be topped with toppings and sauces from their list.
My first trip was last week. I had the cinnamon sugar cone lined with peanut butter, vanilla ice cream, and Nutella sauce poured on top. Overall it was tasty and satisfying, but let's nitpick a bit, shall we?
I'm not sure about their chocolate or weekly "special flavor" (that week it was blackberry), but while the taste was perfect, the vanilla ice cream had a slight graininess that practically screamed "ice milk". The Nutella sauce was so skimpy that it just tasted like regular chocolate sauce. Under all that, there was so much peanut butter inside the cone that I should have had a water chaser. I'll trade out the peanut butter for Nutella next time.
My only other beef is that this can be much messier than a classic ice cream cone. It all sits in a small cup, which is necessary because the cone is softer than a sugar cone and there's a hole in the bottom. I got down to the lip of the cup before realizing I had eaten the cone so far down that it was hard to pull the bottom portion out. And when I finally did... a couple teaspoons of melted ice cream came pouring onto the table.
The service and atmosphere is top notch, and everything tastes great. Next time I'll know to have water handy if I need it and I'll also know how not to spill it. (Maybe a training video is in order?). And Crispy Cones, despite the small problems, produces such a unique and tasty product that there will definitely be...

Crispy Cones was an entire experience from start to finish. When walking in, I was met by the warm and comforting smell of a freshly made confection that can’t help but remind you of home and the simpler times growing up. Looking around, there is a CRISP and clean aesthetic that was kept immaculate by the attentive staff during my visit.
The warm and friendly staff greet you upon arrival and you get to take your time on the self service iPad screens to completely customize your cone experience. Since it was my first time, I opted for the classic cone and vanilla ice cream, and for a spread I chose peanut butter. And the toppings! How could I choose just one? I settled on Reese’s cups and Oreos and a cookie butter sauce drizzle. And you can’t beat the price! All of that homemade goodness for less than $10!? I was thoroughly impressed.
But it doesn’t stop there. I had the opportunity to talk to the owner, Ethan, and he was personable, welcoming, and a consummate professional. Talking to him felt like talking to an old friend. If you get to see him when you’re there, be sure to say “hello!” I saw him take the time to talk to a customer with dietary restrictions and he took time to carefully go over with them what they could safely consume. You can also tell that he took great care with selecting his staff at this location. Everyone in the store had a smile on their face and visibly enjoyed the work they were doing. Special shoutout to the employee Kraig for his outstanding customer service.
I frequently visit Orlando and I will be making Crispy Cones one of my regular stops! Don’t walk, run to...
