Finally got to hit up this brewery that's right around the corner from our house. We've had it bookmarked since before it even open and have been looking forward to such a close location since we love their Longwood branch.
The parking area is small, but they have overflow parking dedicated further back. There is a patio area with faux grass and bags and kid's games. Inside it is larger than it looks from the outside! They have long tables, four seaters, a lounge type area to the side, and bar seating. There are tons of beer options and they also serve wine (limited).
Since they don't serve food themselves, they partner with food vendors across the street and next door (F&D Woodfire Grill and Tamale Co.). You can order via call or text and Tamale Co delivers it to you onsite, which is super nice.
The staff was quick and friendly and they do a variety of fun evening events like trivia! Be on the lookout for events that they do on weekends too, like yoga at the brewery.
Overall: A A solid local brewery with a fun vibe and plenty to do. Love that they partner with...
Read moreHourglass Brewing is, without question, the best brewery and entertainment source in Orlando! They have so many delicious, local beers on tap, and the bartenders are all so knowledgeable and kind. The trivia/bingo host, Kendra, is undeniably the BEST host in Orlando (with the nominations to prove it) and it's evident she works her tail off to come up with new themes and unique questions every week for all of us to enjoy. She has put her heart into creating a fun, hilarious and FAIR atmosphere for everyone to have a great time and, most importantly, an equal chance at winning!
These other recent 1-star reviews that attack her character directly and attempt to perpetuate falsehoods about this absolute gem of a woman are clearly bitter about being called out for cheating and having to face the consequences of their own self-serving actions. I encourage newcomers to ignore this petulant name-calling and witness what an amazing slice of heaven this brewery is. Everyone there makes me feel like a valued patron every time I visit, and they're dog friendly too! The best of...
Read moreI found the beers and ales to be very true to style with the ones I tried. The staff was friendly and efficient. My friend and I were on our second pint when a couple walks inside with a large dog that proceeded the climb on the bar stools close to us. A few minutes later the same dog tried to attack a waitress. The dogs owners only laughed and did nothing to discipline the animal after this display of aggression. Furthermore the staff didn't speak up either. Both and my friend are both animal lovers, but we also have respect for other people around us. It's too bad some people do not. Also there were plenty of open tables outside on The veranda for the people to sit with their dog. I don't mind having a dog friendly establishment to go to but there should be rules, and preferably restrict them to The veranda outside. Thank you and good luck in the new...
