Finally went here for the first time on Saturday. About a 45 minute wait at 6pm on a Saturday. We weren't surprised though; if you've ever been up here you know this parking lot is slammed all the time. Decided this was the night to finally take Delaney's off the to-try list. Appreciated that the buzzers had a long range as we got to sit in our car close to the entrance while we waited. Got inside and tables are well spaced out and this place is huge. Sports TVs sprinkled throughout the bar area was a plus for the Patriots pre-season game. Honestly, the sushi was a little expensive and seems random to offer in a family style sports bar kind of place, but it is excellent. Got the North Conway roll as an appetizer and would recommend it. Now. I've eaten a decent amount of bbq. And usually I get bbq when I'm up here, just not from here, so I was eager to check out these reviews of the jalapeno bbq sauce ribs. As bbq is a hotly debated topic, if you go into this experience knowing this isn't a smokehouse and these are not smoked ribs, you're going to be pretty impressed with what they have going on. I picked up a rib and all that was left in my hand was the bone. The meat completely fell off; solid start. The ribs themselves were super juicy from being slow cooked in an oven for hours; they melted away in your mouth. They were great, just know you're not getting any smoky undertone if that's what you're hunting for. I love all styles of bbq (dry rubbed, saucy, sauceless, smoked, or oven baked), but knowing the bragging point was their homemade bbq jalapeno sauce, I must give the sauce a grade A. Good flavor and a little heat, really really liked it. As this place was more of a family restaurant and something-for-everyone food fare, we were pleasantly surprised with our experience. If you've always wondered if the line is worth it, give them a try if you haven't yet and find out for yourself. Definitely a great place for families though. Enjoyed coloring on the paper table covers with crayons...

On Saturday, 26 FEB 2022, at 4:20 pm, we planned on placing a take out order. We decided to call it in. Upon calling, no one answered the phone call and all that was received was a recorded message instructing to press the number we selected for the desired person to speak with, as well as placing take out orders online. The recorded message also informed us that the restaurant would stop take out orders at 6:00 pm. After several attempts by telephone to place the order we decided to attempt placing the order online as suggested. Upon completing the order and about to press the submit button the online order shut down and disappeared completely not allowing another attempt. Since we were close by, we drove to Delaney's and arrived at 5:10 pm. We spoke with an employee who was taking names for seating in the restaurant. He informed us that they were no longer taking take out orders that evening. We informed him of our several failed attempts to place our take out order by phone and online nearly 45 minutes earlier. With a cavalier attitude he said we are no longer taking orders for take out, as we stood there and several other people were picking up their orders. He, then, turned to an employee that we could only presume was a manager. That person didn't say a word regarding our predicament, but only shook his head, "No!", instructing the original employee to which we had spoken. At that time, we left having to order dinner elsewhere. The recorded phone message, as well as, the sign in front of the restaurant informs patrons that take out orders will be taken up until 6:00 pm. This is not any way to treat customers of your business/restaurant and expect them to be repeat customers. We were appalled at how we were treated at...

7/27/24 - 2nd visit. Couldn't resist - had the sushi again. Philly and Cali rolls were fantastic. Husband switched it up and had a shrimp and chicken over rice with cilantro and sweet chili sauce - came with tortillas but he didn't need them. Said the dish was excellent. Again, great food, good service!

Highly recommend! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

7/21/24 - Amber and the other bartender (I'm so sorry I didn't get her name!) we terrific! The place was packed so we decided to sit at that bar for our dinner. They treated us, and every other person at their bar, beautifully. So kind and professional, they looked you in the eye and spoke with you like they had nothing else going on - which was completely the opposite. They were slammed. They were both quick, fun, whitty, wicked sharp.

Our dinners were both great! Husband had the "seafood extravaganza" which was spectacular! I had two sushi rolls - couldn't decide which and thought I'd have left-overs. They were both so yum!

When I say slammed, I'm not even kidding - when we arrived, there were people sitting outside and more arriving - maybe they were there for a party. We got seated at the bar right away. There were still more people coming in when we left. This place did a great job and we will be...

Delaney’s Hole In the Wall offers a surprisingly diverse menu in a cozy, mountain-themed setting. While the restaurant serves sushi and other Japanese-inspired options, the menu expands far beyond that, giving everyone something to enjoy. The dishes we tried were flavorful and well-prepared — definitely above expectations for a casual local spot. The interior is warm and character-rich, decorated with ski memorabilia, snow gear, and old mountain photographs that tie into the local alpine spirit. It feels both nostalgic and lived-in, with a charm that reflects the region’s outdoor culture. Service started on a slightly off note — the man who greeted us wasn’t particularly warm, which left a bit of a first-impression dent. However, once seated, the rest of the staff were attentive and friendly, and the overall experience was pleasant. The food and smooth service more than made up for the less-than-enthusiastic welcome. If you’re in the area, it’s a solid place to stop for a hearty meal in a setting that blends comfort with a touch of local mountain history.
