Read moreMy family and I stopped by Cheese Louise in North Conway today for lunch. This restaurant started out as a food truck that I remember visiting several years ago, but it finally has a permanent location! The restaurant serves different varieties of grilled cheese, alcoholic beverages, soups, and baked cookies. We had a great experience today and would highly recommend this place to anybody that enjoys a great grilled cheese.
When entering the restaurant, the atmosphere is laid back and casual. The floor is epoxied concrete and has a beautiful blue and gray design on it. Alternative rock music was playing in the background at the perfect volume to complement the experience. The layout of the restaurant was also calming due to the large amount of space between each table.
The food itself was amazing. Each grilled cheese comes with in-house made potato chips. The chips are crisp and had an awesome flavor. The basic grilled cheese is called the Vermonter. It comes with a delicious mix of Cabot cheddar and Muenster cheeses on a sourdough bread. The two cheeses paired incredibly and made for a luxurious grilled cheese experience. The sourdough was toasted to a perfect golden brown. The only item which wasn’t available at the time of our order was waffle fries; I really wish I had the opportunity to try them.
In-house baked chocolate chip toll house-like cookies are also on the menu and absolutely worth it. Our cookies were fresh out of the oven at the time of our order and still gooey in the middle; the way every cookie should be. Overall, we definitely would visit this place for a quick bite to eat again. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the restaurant and the friendly, responsive...
