Las Flores — Restaurant in Conyers

I had the pleasure of visiting Las Flores this past weekend, and I can't help but share how incredible my experience was! In fact, I enjoyed it so much that I ended up going two days in a row! The first evening, my friends and I arrived for dinner and were greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Although we had to wait for our table, the time flew by thanks to the amazing bar staff.

I'd like to give a special shout-out to the two bartenders who went above and beyond to make our time at the bar enjoyable. They were not only skilled in crafting delicious drinks, but their sweetness and hospitality truly stood out. The drinks they prepared were absolute fire, and I was thrilled to discover the creative "blood bags" margaritas that were themed for the convention I was attending. It was a unique touch that added so much fun to the evening.

The service throughout our meal was impeccable. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. I've been to my fair share of Mexican restaurants, but Las Flores has easily secured a spot in my top three favorites. The Tacos de Calle were a standout – bursting with flavor and generously portioned, they left me feeling completely satisfied.

The attention to detail in the presentation of each dish was remarkable. It's clear that the kitchen takes great pride in their creations, and it truly enhances the dining experience. My wife, daughter, & I went on a whim; we were glad we did! The decor was unique & set the mood for a festive evening out. They have a great environment for a family/friends outing. It’s not a large building so it’s a little tight, but if they can they space customers apart pretty well so you’re not on top of one another. As a 6’3” 300+lbs man, it was a squeeze for me to fit… but the food made it all worth it! We started with nachos & cheese; which their take on it is unlike any other Mexican Restaurant I’ve ever dined at. My wife had shrimp fajitas & I had their TAMPIQUEÑA. My wife’s entree came with sizzling shrimp, onions, & peppers with rice, refried beans, a salad, & corn tortillas. She thoroughly enjoyed it. My order came with a 12oz steak with sautéed onions & mushrooms, refried beans, rice, quesadilla, & a enchilada. Everything on my plate was delicious. I’m not a fan of bloody steaks & typically ask for them medium well. I typically end up with a chard dry steak… but not here. It was tender, juicy, melt in your mouth delicious; the onions & mushrooms also were great accents & only added to the flavor! I had to stop myself from just devouring everything! I really just wanted to come here to say that Zori is the best! Really, everyone we interacted with, including the manager, was so sweet and kind. And that has been the case every time I've been here. It's just unfortunate that I'm personally not very enchanted with the food... it has always been lackluster for me regardless of what I get. This is just my preferred restaurant when I'm in Olde Town, specifically. But anyway! Zori is awesome, and if you get the chance to stop by, I hope you get to see him!

Coming back to say that I will never order food here again. I went back once more after writing my original review and had the pleasure of seeing Zori again. He is an absolute angel who did his very best after seeing my review to make the food experience better for me. Unfortunately, he can't puppeteer the kitchen. They couldn't even get the most simple taco order known to man right (meat, lettuce, cheese). It had to be sent back the first time for being completely incorrect, and the second time it came out, it was still wrong (missing lettuce) and did not taste good at all (missing FLAVOR), but I didn't have any time to mess with it anymore as I had somewhere I needed to be. If I come back here, all I will be ordering is something to drink. At least they can't mess that up. I've been here at least 10 separate times over a few years and never had a satisfying...
