Table for 4 for dinner We have not been to this Red Lobster for a few months. En route to the restaurant Wifey went online to join the waitlist. We arrived and quickly found a parking spot in the large parking lot. We entered the restaurant and were seated quickly. Our server stopped by to introduce herself and advised she would return to take our orders. She did not return as quickly as I expected. When she arrived she took our drink orders. I ordered the Voodoo Ranger Hazy Ipa, Wifey and my youngest daughter ordered the strawberry lemonade and my oldest daughter ordered a sweet tea. After a few minutes, all the drinks arrived except mine. I assumed it was a little slower because it was coming from the bar. After a while our server came by and advised that they did not have that beer anymore. I just settled for the water I already had. Everyone was ready to order their entrees. Our orders were pretty much in sync. Wifey and my youngest daughter ordered the Steamed Crabs dinner and my oldest and I opted for Shrimp Dinner. She ordered the Parrot Isle Jumbo Coconut Shrimp while I split mine between the Coconut Shrimp and the new crispy Dragon Shrimp. We waited for a while and the food had not arrived. I flagged down our server and asked if things were running slow. Her response was “It has not been that long, it has only been 18 minutes”. No “Apology” or “Let me go check on it” and last I checked 18 mins is a long time. Well add on another 10 minutes and the food finally arrived. Needless to say, the service was slow and the food that arrived was not that great. I ordered broccoli as a side and it was overcooked and under seasoned. My “Crispy” Dragon shrimps were more bread than actual shrimp and not “Crispy”. Wifey’s Crabs were cold and we had to send them back to be reheated. After we all finished our meals and I received the check I noticed a mysterious additional Crab dinner was added. I flagged down the person, who I thought was the manager, and explained the situation. She looked baffled and said she would track down our server. Our server eventually came over and had the extra entree removed. Overall this was not the best visit to this Red Lobster. The service was slow and the food was sub-par. We will probably be back just because it is convenient and hope for a...
Read moreI recently dined at the Red Lobster restaurant located in Conyers, GA and I must say it was quite disappointing. My family and I visited the restaurant on June 12, 2024, for a birthday celebration, but the overall experience left a lot to be desired.
Upon arrival, I inquired with the hostess if they would be able to accommodate us as it was close to their closing time of 10 PM. Although I asked this question twice, the hostess assured us that it would not be an issue. However, I noticed some tension between the hostess and the waitstaff, as they seemed to be in disagreement and arguing in front of customers about who would serve folks that came in after 9PM. This unprofessional behavior was quite off-putting.
It took quite a while for the hostess to seat us at a table, and then we had to wait another 20 minutes for our waitress to take our order. Throughout the evening, the waitress kept reminding us that the restaurant closes at 10 PM, as if we were unaware of this fact. This constant reminder was unnecessary and gave off an unwelcoming vibe.
To make matters worse, the food and drinks took an exceptionally long time to arrive at our table. When they did finally arrive, we were disappointed with the quality. The dishes were sloppily thrown together, some were over or undercooked, and the portions were small. In some cases, ingredients were even missing.
One of the staple items at Red Lobster, the cheddar biscuits, were served at the end of our meal and unfortunately, they were burnt and hard to eat. I think they reheated used biscuits that past customers didn’t eat in order to not have to make a fresh batch. Our waitress acknowledged that they weren't good, but did nothing to rectify or apologize for the situation. It would have been more appropriate for her to have eliminated bringing the biscuits to the table, offer a discount on the bill, or have them remade properly.
The overall attitude of the staff, who seemed to believe that we would accept subpar food and service, was unacceptable. In hindsight, I wish I wouldn’t have spoken with a manager and complained about the service and food and not paying for the meal or having it discounted. This experience has left a lasting impression, and I have no intention of returning to this particular Red Lobster location...
Read moreThis place SUCKS! What kind of seafood restaurant serves crab legs and lobster without something to crack the damn shells?!? They are too hard to break by hand so we're having to take them home!🤷♀️🤦♀️🙄 On top of that I got a sirloin that was supposed to be grilled but was pan seared so friggin hard that it was like trying to chew shoe leather! They didn't even bring me a damn knife to begin with either! It didn't really matter in the long run because the knife couldn't handle the leather anyway!🤬🤬🤬 Biggest waste of money we've spent in a long time!
I would like to add that we asked for a manager and waited and waited and ordered dessert, ate it, drank coffee and waited. Finally our waitress asked if he had ever shown up...Noooo! We asked if maybe he was really busy, though there was no indication from our viewpoint and we were told that there were THREE different managers working and had been informed that we wanted to speak to one!! After 25-30 minutes of our originally asking a YOUNG man that was dressed no differently than the wait staff showed up, which honestly makes us wonder about his position not just because he wasn't dressed different but also had no badge/name tag or anything to show his position. ANYWAY We started out discussing the lack of shell crackers and he proceeded to say that they had been asking corporate for new ones for MONTHS!🙀🤷♀️ Now first why in the hell would they have to continue to beg for something that the restaurant actually REQUIRES?!? Secondly in the world I grew up in some lower form of management would at this point go to Walmart and buy their own for their damn store, ESPECIALLY IF THEIR NAME, manager's, NAME IS LITERALLY ON THE DAMN DOOR! It's called self respect and accountability for YOUR restaurant!🤷♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🙄 After our talk they gave us a SLIGHT discount on JUST THE CRAB LEGS which was just enough to buy some damn shell crackers on the way HOME!😒🤬 I gave two stars on service because even though we had to wait forever for this unsatisfying interaction with the "manager" our poor waitress was wonderful! BTW the supposed "sirloin" that I got looked like a chunk of roast beef it was actually like pyramid shaped and chewed like an overcooked one! Did I say that it also had NO...
