Run away from this hotel as fast as you can, my husband and I packed up and was out no more than 5 minutes if that. We was awakened at 2 a.m. by bed bugs. Who decided to feed on me and my husband. Told the front desk lady Ana, about the problem and showed her the pictures all she could say was I apologized. Who wants to hear that after being severely bitten. She didn’t offer a refund. She said I can move y’all to another room, for what to get bit again. The towels in the room are beyond dirty, look like someone wiped themselves with it and replaced on the towel rack. I had to give this hotel 1 star but Google need to find a way to let you post without any stars, this hotel deserves none. The hotel need to be SHUT DOWN ASAP!!!!!! Those pictures on the Choice hotel website and app are not real pictures of the property. The room we was placed in did not have night stands, clean bed linens, the bed was king size with three beat up pillows. We ate in the car, wouldn’t even dare bring food inside to feed who knows what else they had in this room. Let’s not forget the smell of marijuana was in our room upon arrival also reported this, as the smell was coming from another guest room. Is this what hotels stays become. Whatever happen to hotels from back in the day when you didn’t have to worry about who or what staying at the hotel. This hotel is beyond run down. I have stayed in other hotel chains ran by Indians and this is by far the WORST'!!!!!!!!!! Clean up and do better people, instead of lurking at every corner and watching your guests. You need to learn how to run a business correctly not run it in the ground. Which is already too late obviously!!!! NEVER...
Read moreI booked this Econo Lodge on the Choice app. on my phone. I know that this is at the lower end of the Choice Hotels brand but it was a stop on the way to our final destination. I had reserved a non smoking room for many reasons - not the least of which is my asthma. I have cough variant asthma and cigarette smoke is one of my number one triggers. The room we were given had a very strong smoky odor and the bathtub was so disgusting with mildew that I wouldn't allow my husband and son anywhere near it. I went to the front desk to complain and was given another room. This room had an equally strong smoky smell but they assured me it was non smoking in spite of the ashtray. The bathtub was an improvement though still not great. The TV remote did not work - went down for new batteries, still wouldn't work. The hair dryer did not work. The floor was sticky everywhere. There was an ironing board stand but no iron or ironing board. There was a coffee maker but no cups. The hotel advertises convenient outlets on the nightstand of every room - not present. There were only two washcloths and when we asked for another we were given a hand towel because there were no more washcloths available. ||It took 36 hours for me to be able to stop coughing from the smoke odor and the clothing we had on had to be put in a plastic bag and kept away from everything else. Our suitcases remained closed. Breakfast was a joke so I won't even take the time to describe it.||This room cost $89. I have stayed in far better for less money. I have removed the Choice app from my phone and will not be staying in Choice...
Read moreI’ve stayed in hotels in Europe, the Middle East, the Caribbean as well as the USA. Even the City Hotel in Bandera, Texas in 1964 wasn’t as bad as this place is. This place is a “pit.” After a nine-hour drive to avoid hurricane Florence, we ended up here. Had there been any rooms available in the area we would have made a real fast exit.|Our room did not have a working phone, so we couldn’t even reach the front desk. Complimentary breakfast was a joke. They seldom had enough of anything to cover the morning hoard of guests. The peephole in our door was broken on the inside. The fix: a Kleenex stuffed into the hole! Ants! Ants by thousand were crawling in from a crack in the bottom of the wall. When we told housekeeping, the head house-keeping guy said he’d take care of it. Never saw him again. When mentioned to the front desk they apparently sent the evening attendant to Walmart to buy some Raid. We kept the can until departure and doused the length of the wall generously until we check out. We had 2 housekeeping visits in five days. And, the lodge owners couldn’t have cared less. Additionally, they were very unfriendly and contentious to guests with a problem. I could go on. But, from the foregoing you’ll probably agree it isn’t necessary to continue beating a dead horse. This Econo Lodge is a decades old, deplorable deplorable mess. Forget a rehab here. It simply needs to be razed and a completely new structure put in place. This place should be avoided no...
