It's funny to see people post negative comments about this location. Until you actually understand what these kids go thru on a daily basis, you'd be a little more sympathetic. Now this Meghan lady clearly didn't realize the time frame. Cold Stone is independently owned. The management and ownership can make their own regulations. I've had well in depth conversations with management. And after it was explained to me, I understand. These custom orders that people order take a couple days, last minute orders aren't accepted. Meaning you order a cake Monday night and want it to pick it up Tuesday morning. Start thinking about the time frame. She posted her complaint last week. The week before Valentine's Day. This particular location is very popular for cakes such as the Mother's Day and Valentine's Day cakes. But the corporate limit date for these seasonal cakes was on Valentine's Day. So if you were trying to get a cake, then I'm not suprised management said it can't be done. Some people are so inconsiderate when it comes to these complaints. It's a lot more that goes into a Cold Stone store than most of you realize. These kids that serve you have a lot going on. Serving ice cream is not their sole purpose. People like this Meghan clearly don't consider the circumstances. You get upset because you didn't have it your way then you bad mouth the store. The Conyers Cold Stone is a great location. Now they have ran out of ice cream from time to time due to the busy rushes, but other than that, they manage to get the job done despite what they may be going thru. Hats off to Cold...
Read moreNow usually, I would say that I am pleased with the staff at Coldstone, but NOT tonight. The Ice Cream is ALWAYS above board, but the Customer Service varies.
On 4/15, my husband and I stopped at Coldstone. It was 10 on the dime. Right before I entered two (teenagers) and their father entered. (Mind you to enter the door was open). The young clerk stated we couldn't enter because they were closed. So we went back and forth for like two seconds saying we were in @ the cusp. He and two other clerks were servicing two customers and talking with their friends.
Now, myself and the three people before me stood in line patiently as he turned away several other individuals that tried to come in after us.
After appx 5-10 minutes, one of young ladies went to place her order and the male cleek informed her that he would NOT serve her because she came in after 10. Her father interjected and mentioned we came in @10, the door was open and that it would take them 5 minutes to serve us.
They procedeed to have banter between them and one of clerks stated that their manager told them they were taking to long to close and had already texted them saying to close on time. They continually refused to serve us. Again the door was still open.
I seriously doubt that the manager, who I have interacted with on several ocassions would have been okay with their behavior.

I ordered a cake online and decided I wanted to change the flavor, so I called the store and spoke to an employee named Sara. Sara told me it would be fine, and I asked her to have her manager call me to confirm. Her manager called me with an attitude and told me they don't process cakes on Sundays (it doesn't say that anywhere online or in-store) and I could pick it up Tuesday if I wanted it, if I didn't then "too bad". This cake is for my daughters 21st birthday which is tomorrow.. so I called the store back and Sara told me I could have a "ready made" cake. I said that was fine, and could she please just write my name on it so I could be sure they would have it (it was the last large cake), Sara told me "I don't have time for that right now". She could've written my name on the cake at any point today during her shift but she "didn't have time"; so I hung up. I called the Lawrenceville location and spoke with the manager Sophia, who was happy to process a customized cake for me to pick up tomorrow afternoon.
