UPDATED Review:
To whom it may concern,
Thank you for your prompt and thorough response to my feedback. I appreciate the time you’ve taken to address my concerns regarding the pricing discrepancies I encountered.
I would like to clarify that the purpose of my review was not to insult the business or its owners but to provide constructive feedback on the pricing inconsistencies that I experienced. My intention was to highlight what seemed to be an attempt to upcharge consumers without their knowledge, which can understandably lead to confusion and frustration.
The photos attached to my review were included to offer visual context and prevent any misleading information or misunderstandings that might arise from subjective interpretations. While I understand that the website may be experiencing technical difficulties—a challenge many businesses face—I believe it’s important to note that pricing discrepancies between different platforms can be viewed as misleading to consumers. This is not a reflection of the effort involved in running a business but rather an observation based on the experience, as presenting two differing prices could be considered false advertising.
While the pricing issue remains pertinent to this post, it is crucial to provide accurate pricing to your customers. Although you have indicated that the new printed menus have updated prices, it is still the business’s responsibility to ensure consistency in pricing across all platforms. Also, I am not the only customer who has experienced billing concerns from your restaurant, as several other customers have shared similar issues. This pattern suggests that something is amiss with your transaction sales, and it needs to be addressed promptly. Updated photos have been attached to the review to further illustrate these concerns. Addressing these discrepancies is essential to maintaining customer trust and avoiding the perception of being an establishment that scams its patrons.
I genuinely appreciate your clarification regarding the recent updates to your menu prices and the efforts you are making to resolve the website issues. Thank you again for taking the time to respond thoughtfully.
Original Review: Scammers beware, this restaurant will steal money from its customers and smile in your face while they’re doing it.
I recently had an unfortunate experience at INDIA EXPRESS that I feel compelled to share. As a repeat customer, I ordered food to go, confident in my familiarity with the menu. When Rajeev asked if I needed a menu, I declined because I already knew what I wanted. However, I was surprised to find an unexpected charge: I was billed $17.95 for a curry chicken meal that is clearly listed as $15.95 on the restaurant’s website and handheld menu.
Despite my regular visits, this kind of upcharge felt unjustified and disappointing. I’ve attached photos of my receipt along with screenshots from their website to highlight the discrepancy.
Stealing from customers, whether through intentional overcharging or careless billing errors, is a detrimental business practice. It erodes customer trust, damages the establishment’s reputation, and discourages repeat business. In today’s competitive food industry, maintaining transparent and honest pricing is key to fostering customer loyalty and positive word-of-mouth referrals.
Deceiving customers does not contribute to long-term business success. Instead, it results in negative reviews, complaints to consumer protection organizations like the Better Business Bureau. More importantly, it tarnishes the credibility of the brand and alienates the very patrons who support the business’s growth.
Moving forward, I hope INDIA EXPRESS reconsiders its pricing practices and prioritizes integrity in customer interactions.
Stop stealing from your customers! Shameful.
I will be reporting this incident to the BBB to ensure accountability. Businesses must recognize that customers are well-informed and deserve honest, transparent...

The food was so Amazing, I no longer have to travel to North Decatur to eat Indian food. The Staff and Owner(s) are Great people, very courteous, helpful, humble and respectful. I even recommended this place to my family and their friends after I ate here. They made a reservation which happened to be their first reservation. It was a seamless experience and they all had good reviews about the food, staff, and Owner(s). There's not many great food places in Conyers especially Indian food and this is by far one of the best places to eat. Very reasonable for the amount of food that you get as well. The food was good temperature, fresh, season to perfection-nothing was overbearing, great presentation, and came out in timely manner. I even had leftovers and didn't have to pay for the take away container. I had the Guava Juice, Lamb Samosa, Butter Chicken, Garlic Naan, and Gulab Jamun.
Many blessings to India Express, staff and...
Read moreA new hidden gem in Conyers. I have been to the other indian restaurant and it was awful, bland food and awful service. Being an Indian myself, I typically drive to Decatur for Indian food. Went here the other day and was pleasantly surprised. You can smell the aromas when you walk in. Our service was excellent! The food was fresh! Full of flavor! I know this will become a weekly obsession, craving fixer for me, and I can not wait to try other menu options!
The only thing I was a little disappointed by was that many of the items online on the website were not available (whited out) on the in-house menu. Im hoping that will change, or as this is a new restaurant, it is trials, and seeing what sells most, etc. Which I understand. However, this will not stop me from going back!!!
We tried Pani Puri (classic Indian street food), masala papad (yummy), lamb samosas, kadhai chicken (my go to Indian dish and this did not disappoint), goat curry (my husband devoured it), plain naan and garlic naan. The two entrees...
