DQ Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Cookeville

Today would have been my mother in laws 78th birthday. She just passed away last week and before she passed she asked for a double chocolate malt from DQ here in Cookeville. With tears in our eyes as we watched her leave this earth I left ICU and headed to DQ at 10:30 to see if they could make a chocolate malt for our Mama. The manager was closing up shop when this desperate distraught daughter in law pulls up asking for this final request. The manager understood my desperate plea and said, she would be right back and returned with the double chocolate malt as requested. Upon my arrival back into ICU surrounded my all us kids and siblings we watched our mother enjoy her malt before she drew her last breath. I can’t thank enough this DQ in Cookeville for jumping on this request when she could have said “no”, could have said, “are you kidding we are closed”. But, she didn’t she delivered and we were so grateful to give our Mama her favorite treat before she crossed over.

Why is this Dairy Queen so horrid? I got a 7$ meal deal and I upgraded to a blizzard for what I thought would be a dollar but they charged me 2.30$, do these workers know what they're doing? The employee serving me must've asked me 5 times if they got items correct or to repeat what I was saying when it was clear as day and slow. When I went to eat my meal the fries were not there, the starry they gave me tastes like carboned water, and the blizzard was filled nowhere near the top. Being only place i know that serves banana splits, because Sonic doesn't!. Was grateful for DQ! Yet i have purchased several and considering $5+ for the sweet tooth satisfaction... to mis ingredients and the amount of ice cream or whip being on the slim side,? yet to miss the little perks like nuts and cherry ?! I realize you may be out of those at present time; yet a little extra on ice cream and whip, would have been thoughtf for missing goods...nothing but a disappointment. Isnt the 1st one or second or etc... Yet will i get another? Yes, i will and i will mention extra ice cream and whip, cherries and nuts. Just sayin' Just love em...
