El Tapatio on Willow — Restaurant in Cookeville

Do not order from the website, call it in. I order the same thing every time. Chili Poblano plate ( two poblano chilies, and rice and beans) $10.99 Added side of chips and salsa for $1.99. I’ve ordered this four times in the last three months. Pretty much my favorite Mexican dish. First time not a problem came through perfect. Second time ordered it and it came at half portion, but paid full price. Third time again came half portion but paid full price. This last time they made two chili Poblanobut had no rice and beans. Apparently, when the ticket gets printed out in the kitchen, it just print out as to poblano’s.

I noticed the bag was super small this time and called them out on it. Then they tried to argue with me until I showed them my email confirmation. I really wish I could Retract the tip that I put on the order because it seemed like I had to fight with the staff to get what I paid for. I’m not saying the food is bad, but obviously there is an ordering issue they need to look into.

Unfortunately, I have to update this since the one on Willow is not the same as the one on Jefferson and my takeout experience was utterly miserable. We ordered dinners. Mine was supposed to come with refried beans in addition to rice - it only came with rice. I substituted green tommatillo sauce for enchilada sauce on my enchiladas and I literally got no sauce on them. The cheese wasn't even melted in them... I mean really?! They did not provide chips and salsa with our takeout order -- ridiculous!! We even ordered cheese dip and no chips were provided with the order of an appetizer!!! I called back and asked about this omission and they said no chips were provided with this ... Um no. My husband provided a healthy tip upon pickup; they didn't deserve a penny of it. We have family who are local to this restaurant and eat there weekly. They said chips are certainly provided with takeout...I am livid. I will not be going back to the one on...

If there was an option for less than a 1 star review I would select it!. Took my whole family there to eat several of us got the same thing to eat, shrimp chicken and steak fajita guacamole and refried beans, - I was looking it over thought I saw a hair in my beans an pulled it out- it was a roach. I spit what I had in my mouth out-i was livid and disgusted with finding that I showed my family and my waiter..he boldly said the rest of the food was still good.imo That just means that happened often!!!! I know after doing research that they had a similar situation happen years before! I will never ever eat there again and encourage others not to as well. Check your food folks if...
