Part 3!! #megsbread #westside

This is one of Cookevilles hidden gems! My mom and I stumbled upon this place after seeing someone post on Hip Cookeville. If you haven't been here you have to go! They have sandwiches, soup and pastries made fresh! They even have a seeded organic wheat vegan sourdough loaf and beet hummus that my mom fell in LOVE with! They have to go salads not to mention a full coffee bar with vegan options for mom. I was shocked when I walked in and saw everything they had. They have everything from chips, to sweets, to spices, to grass fed cheeses and meats! Now it's time to talk about the food. I ordered the grilled cheese on sourdough with muenster and wild cheddar...FIRE! đŸ”„ The cheese pull was insane (picture below) it was crispy and buttery and everything you want a grilled cheese to be. I also got a bowl of their chicken noodle soup. I had to wait for a bit because it was made fresh but it was worth the wait. On the first bite I got reverted back to my childhood on those sick days when chicken noodle soup made it all better! It was bursting with flavor, comfort food at its finest! For dessert I got a massive chocolate chip cookie. When I made a comment about the cookie they said, "that's not even big for us." The cookie was buttery, and a perfect blend of sweet and salty. The first bite was like an explosion of flavor! The texture was perfect not too crispy but not too soft just how I like them. I have to say, it's leaning towards the best chocolate chip cookie I've ever had! I can't believe in 4 years we have never been here. Now that we have found it, we are hooked! They have a brunch menu on Saturdays and Sundays I'm eager to try as well! If you're looking for a place to grab food with sustainable healthy ingredients look no further! It's rare to find a place that accommodates to vegans so we are BOTH leaving satisfied and very happy! The food is amazing, the atmosphere is cozy, the service is excellent. If you haven't been to this place, now is your sign to GO!

Meg’s is a STAPLE in my household for baked goods and breads! The staff is always so kind and fun, and everything they make is SO delicious and yummy. They work with seasonal produce to make various goodies along with some mainstays like their delicious sourdough bread, honey almond twists, brownies, croissants, and more! They always have a great selection of sweets and savory options too, so there’s always going to be something for everyone (and yes, they’ve even got a few gluten free options too!). I will always recommend folks stop by—they are my absolute favorite bakery in town!

They need a question about timing. Driving a long way to get cookies grab a sandwich and take it out to Rock Island. The cookies aren’t ready we waited a half hour at 10:30 in the morning, which I guess is no big deal but then we asked if we could get sandwiches and they said no we don’t make sandwiches until 11 but you can get the premade out of the case. I’ve always loved this place. I make it a destination, my friends call it a destination bakery, but it’s really disappointing lately. They still make an outstanding sandwich. If you’re here at the right time of day I just really feel like they’re limiting themselves I would’ve spent a lot more money. And why can’t you have a few bagels during the week? The chicken salad is amazing...

Megs Breads is “ Some kind of Wonderful !” Simply the best. 5 kinds of rustic sourdough, Focaccia bread in unique flavors like, today was Brie and pear, and Jalapeño and cheddarđŸ„°. I went in for a salad today which was awesome. Quinoa, with spinach grilled squash apples Craisins turkey and a wonderful homemade dressing. And found a fabulous gluten-free cake about 3 inches tall with a lemon curd flavored cake and delicious buttercream frosting with pistachios. I think it was the best gluten-free cake I ever ate! I can’t go back for a while because those pastries are just call my name! This place has it going on on all levels. Even local produce so you can buy fresh. I love this place!...
