Leeann Chin — Restaurant in Coon Rapids

Food's ok, & it's quick since it's pre-prepared. Sometimes it's old and dried out, their staff isn't always great about sitting it up or replacing it often enough; but the biggest problem is some items at this location are consistently ruined due to some type of cooking issues. The Bourbon Chicken especially is often VERY burned & dried out & the sauce is USUALLY badly scorched. If you get a good batch it's really great, but often it's completely not edible, both burned & scorched, eeewwww! The Mongolian & the Orange Chicken are likely to usually be better, both are great tasting when fresh; however, I'm trying to seriously limit gluten so I'd like to be able to eat other items. Even though these are delicious, I wish they'd fix the Bourbon. I'd like the Honey Shrimp too, but it's more money for a MUCH smaller portion, so it's not a good value. I usually prefer fried rice, but theirs tastes weird, so I always have to get the brown rice since I can't eat noodles,so I'd love to see them get a good recipe for...

My niece wanted this and for delivery. We ordered sweet and sour chicken and 2 egg rolls. The chicken was alright BUT the sauce was just sauce, 3 pieces of pineapple and just 1 piece of a sliced julienne carrot, the rest was just sauce. Mind you we ordered the quart size to share. There was enough rice to feed 10 people though. The egg rolls are Plain, nothing special. Immediately after placing the online order received text that door dash would be delivering the order, this is not stated on the website btw. They delivered just fine, no complaints about them, but we will never order from leeann chin ever again. I've been here six times over the last couple of months and will give mixed reviews. I order the orange chicken each time, and once the chicken was obviously old, dry, and very leathery. It made it difficult to eat. That same time the oyster wings that I ordered each time were in similar condition. The other 5 times the chicken was well done. The problem is the sides. Leeann Chin years ago had the best fried rice outside of a hibachi. What they have now tastes like it comes out of a microwave. The white rice is even worse. Tasteless, mushy, and difficult to choke down. That leaves the noodles. They are okay, but they have a slimy feel that seems to linger on the tongue after you swallow.
