Hot Wok — Restaurant in Copperas Cove

Please place definitely surprised me. A friend took me here for dinner to try the fare, and it was delicious. He said, “just so you know, the portions here are small, so keep that in mind”. When the food came out, my eyes were so huge. You could easily feed three ppl with the shrimp lo mein I ordered. My friend ordered the combination lo mein which so delicious. The food pleasantly surprised me. All the flavors in the lo mein went really well today. They use quality ingredients and they don’t skimp on the veggies or protein in these dishes. We also had some crab rangoons with the usual bright red orange sauce. This they also make from scratch and is good.

The staff was friendly, attentive, and very helpful. I left there feeling really welcomed.

Now the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. The place needs major updating and general spring cleaning. Tables and chairs are wobbly or dingy. They have seen better days. This is normally a place I would not choose to eat at, but because my friend knows the staff and management, and vouches for the place in general, I accepted. Thankfully all went well.

Well, I'm not going to low-star a review based on whether or not I got enough condiments, so if that's all you're looking for then this isn't the right review to read. However, I will rate on how the food tasted, the phone service from placing the order and the length of time it took to receive the delivery order, seeing as how that's generally the way this works. Now, I didn't ask for any extra condiments, so I can't say if they're terrible about that, yet a few comments down seem to believe that's reason enough to throw their whole meal off course and to give such a low review, but my family and I did order a lot of food and I will gladly back up that this is my new favorite Chinese restaurant! They were very nice over the phone and patient with us (we couldn't make up our minds), they delivered to Fort Hood, it did take about 45-55 minutes to get here, but remember they're located in Copperas Cove which is almost 30 minutes away, then you have to take into consideration going through the gate, plus our house isn't even on maps yet, so we had to give directions and I think they did a pretty great job overall! If your life and family depended on ordering chinese food. If the one thing standing between your entire family's life and lineage or death, trust a different restaurant. Do not order from this restaurant. Multiple, multiple and I will say again multiple times I asked for extra soy sauce. To receive 2 packets. This is a fairly minuscule complaint. If it did not happen every time. To then contact said restaurant to be argued with over and over. Saying 2 packets is the standard per order and you werent charged extra. Although I asked several and multiple times "please extra soy sauce". To again and again recieve 2 soy sauce packets. I do not care what you over charge me for soy sauce packets. I politely asked for extra soy sauce.
