I am writing this for my sister. She is not one to do reviews, but I was super disappointed in this place when she shared I felt it needs to be out there. I am writing from her perspective. "I stopped by on my way home from a really long miserable day, trying to do a garage sale in pouring rain. I was exhausted. All I wanted was a nice meal to take home, and my prior experience here was good food. I bought over $20 of food, a full quesadilla and 2 tacos. Check # 4938054 on 9/6/25 When I got home and tried to eat my dinner, I was appalled by how nasty the food was. It was not edible. I was upset, but figured it was a fluke because I was getting dinner early.. my order was a little after 4pm and there were no other customers at that time. I was way too tired to deal, even on the phone, so figured I would go back the next day. When I went back, bringing back all the food except for a few bites, they treated me like crap. I went in trying to be kind, but they were insulting off the bat. They had no interest in making anything right. They accused me of drinking, said it was basically my problem. The first person was super rude, the second was marginally better but still awful. It was a big deal to them that I did not immediately drag myself back onto the rain, drive all the way over there and complain within a few minutes of trying to eat that horrible food. I was freaking exhausted, I wasn't going anywhere once home. Eventually they offered a partial refund as store credit, after 20 minutes of insulting behavior. I don't know that I will ever use it after they treated me so crummy when I tried to get them to make things right over what I assume was a kitchen error." Mistakes happen in every field, how you respond to fixing your mistakes says a LOT about a business, and thier response to my sister tells me they have zero respect for thier customers. Its easy to send something back to the kitchen if you are in the dining room, not so easy when it is take out. If part of your business is take out, you should accommodate that. Lots of people get take out and don't eat it immediately. Does that mean they don't deserve a refund or at least a remake of their order if it is crap? FYI They did not offer to remake the food for her. So do yourself a favor if you go to this restaurant. Do not expect any real customer service, and you won't be disappointed. And check your food before you leave if you...
Read moreEl Corral is my favorite spot in town, and I always take friends and family there when they come visit. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back, at least while their newest waitress is still employed there.
I showed up around 8:30pm with two friends and it was somewhat busy, but not packed, definitely past the dinner rush. We were given chips and salsa, and then our waitress comes to the table and literally threw our menus at us, spilling salsa on my friend. The first words she says to us are "Hurry up and order, cause I have all these tables to get to."
I know it gets stressful serving people, but we had just sat down. We'd had no interaction with her yet, so I have no idea why she came at US with such a bad attitude. I associate El Corral with having very polite, excellent staff, and this was so out of the blue that my friends and I thought she was joking, but she was serious. We are the same as any other table on a busy night, so I'm not sure why some of her parties got nice attention, and we got secondhand treatment.
She continued to be rude and rushed us to order, forgot my drink and did not apologize, and again gave the excuse of having "all these tables". We spoke with the owner/manager woman who is usually there, and she was very understanding, and assigned a new waitress to us. The reassigned waitress was totally normal and nice, even though I'm sure her night was just as busy!
Our original waitress kept giving us dirty looks every time she walked past. She's waited on me and my friend one other time before, and back then she was over-the-top friendly and calling us pet names, so I'm not sure if she's mentally unstable or something, or was just having a bad day, but regardless we did absolutely nothing to receive such terrible treatment. It was completely bizarre. El Corral is literally my favorite restaurant in town and she totally ruined it.
El Corral, please let me know when she's fired so I can change this review to 5 stars and come back...
Read moreI ordered two burritos from here through the drive-through. Upon getting to the window the lady told me the amount of my order, $16 and some change. She told me that my card declined. Which it had enough funds, told me I was $2 short. I then gave her 2.50 cash. Which would have made my total now $14. On my bank, they charged me $17.24!!! Plus the $2.50 I gave cash!!! This is outrageous, I've felt like this store has ripped me off in the past in this time confirms it for me. All my suspicions were correct. When asking for a refund and trying to explain the situation, she covered for the lady at the window! Saying that everything was correct. I ended up paying 19.74 for an order that was supposed to cost less than $16. Ridiculous. Do you know how much money that is taken from every order every single day like this, they're scamming this town, and I don't really take kindly to that, the food is good here, but I don't like getting stolen from. Outrageous. Come here if you like getting ripped off. And it's not even that good sometimes. I had a whole eggshell in my burrito last time and they acted like there was no way they did it, like I put the eggshells in my own burrito, how dare a business be so shady and then make you feel like you're the one in the wrong when just simply asking for something to be made right. This is absolutely ridiculous.... Like I said, I noticed this over time, they will tip themselves when you pay for card here. I've ordered the same thing and get different prices everytime. Very...
