I don’t understand this place’s business model for sitdown food. You sit down and have to order using a QR code. I ordered 3 burritos. One was a fish burrito. When the employee brought the food out I asked him if there was fish in the burrito as I couldn’t see any fish. He said yes, sometimes it’s buried. I took a bite. No fish. He said sometimes it’s deep. I broke a part the whole burrito. No fish. I asked him if they could remake it (for $17 there should be fish in there). He said yes and I also asked for some tap water. No tap water came. The burrito took another 10 mins to come out, by that time my family had already ate most of their food. The manager came to apologize for the no fish in the burrito. He asked if he could send some churros to make up for it. I thought what a nice gesture but no churros ever came. Then I had to walk over to the bar to get my own napkins. Me and my family never received the tap water I asked the employee for so I went and asked the bar tender for some waters. She kinda looked blankly at me and then said she’d bring our table water. I don’t think she really wanted to bring the water. It’s like they are trying to be fast casual but there is no counter to ask for things like water or napkins or utensils or a to go container. What little service there was, was terrible tonight. If they are going to ask for a tip when you place your order via the QR code the least they could do is ask if you need anything else when they drop your food at your table. I tipped before knowing what little service there is was going to be terrible. I wish I could get my tip back. This is the third time I’ve been here. The first two were pleasant and the food good. Not sure what happened tonight, maybe...
Read moreThe food really sucks bad well I’m not gonna say all the food but I know for a fact, my chicken tacos was disgusting. I took two bites and threw the rest of my food away and I bought three tacos… my wife’s meat wasn’t even done like I swear to everybody’s God It made my wife highly upset she took one look at and didn’t even try to take a bite. She just said wow shaking my head and just threw it away and she also had three tacos so that six tacos down the drain and about $30-$40 wasted. and made me upset because obviously I have to deal with it but again there was this black dude, that was totally awesome and the bartender guy was totally awesome but there was one girl that was just irritating staring at us just mugging as if we don’t belong there and I felt like is it because I’m black but I don’t know I don’t wanna make that judgment call because it can ruin someone but again she just felt like she was irritated by us as if we bothered her when we use the damn kiosk to take our order… unless she was upset because I politely asked her am I allowed to take the Shot outside and she said no because they keep the cups and I was like OK no problem. Just wanted to ask ever since then boom. It was a problem If I can curse, I would but besides that they...
Read moreSomething is missing in this bar. I’m not sure if it’s the City of Coral Gables that they should promote more the night life according to the target or if it’s something else. I went to Bodega in Coral Gables on Friday night around 11pm and it was almost empty, probably 8 people there. Dj playing music and a very kind bartender making drinks, but no customers. I have been in Bodega Coconut Grove and it’s always packed during the weekend, impossible to get in. This bar has the same type of decor of Coconut Grove; actually the hidden bar in the back of the Bodega in Coral Gables is nicer than the one in Coconut Grove. In conclusion in my opinion, we (the people who live in Coral Gables) should visit more the restaurants and bars or they should do something different to attract people. It’s a wonderful area that should be more busy. Why I’m giving the 5 stars? To support the business of the City and I hope this is a motivation to improve. Maybe live music, a magic show, a stand up comedy; something that attract people who...
