My friend and I sat at the bar at Coyo Taco, and unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing. The bartender (whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch) was overly talkative to the point of being intrusive. At first, I thought he was just being friendly, but he repeatedly interrupted our private conversations throughout the evening, making us feel uncomfortable and as though we were being eavesdropped on. Some of his comments were unnecessarily personal and uncalled for.
Things only got worse when I ordered a margarita. While preparing it, I noticed him sniffing into the shaker—twice—which I found very unprofessional and unhygienic. When the drink was served, I had only a few sips before I discovered a bug floating in it. I pointed this out, and while he did apologize, I told him I no longer wanted a replacement because I was simply too grossed out. As what he seemed to think was a kind gesture, he brought over a flavored shot I hadn’t ordered. I politely sipped it, but it wasn’t my preference, and I didn’t drink it.
When it came time to settle the bill, I was shocked. He told me he would only charge me for the margarita and not the shot. I explained that I had barely touched the margarita, returned it because of a bug, and never asked for the shot. Still, he insisted he “had to charge me for something,” which is both absurd and unacceptable. In the end, I just paid to avoid arguing further, but I left feeling uncomfortable, upset, and turned off by the entire experience.
Between the inappropriate intrusiveness, unsanitary drink preparation, and unacceptable handling of the situation, this was by far one of the most unpleasant bar experiences...

Read moreCute spot. The tacos are delicious, small but packed to the brim which can be messy, but hey, it’s a taco! Great flavor and thoughtfully prepared, I just wish the tacos were a bit larger in my own opinion. If you are a big eater and really hungry when you get there, it’s best to get a 2nd order of two tacos. I saw a young lady do this and she ate all 4. Lots of different options to choose from for what you want on your taco. For those who don’t eat meat like my hubby, you can get the plantain tacos. He enjoyed those. Any where they sell guacamole, I try it and it’s pretty good here, I must say (need more chips served with it though)! Great atmosphere but limited parking so be very prepared to drive around to find parking. We snagged a spot right in front but we went when it wasn’t busy. Otherwise, good experience here. Good...
