Horrible experience, top 3 worst dining experiences of all time. Would not recommend & we will definitely not be going back.
We had an 8pm reservation for 9 people on Friday which our friend put a deposit of $40 per person down to celebrate a special occasion. We all love natural wine, and thought this would be the perfect spot. Friends drove from all over Miami, 40+ minutes for nice evening with girlfriends.
We all arrived and our table was not ready yet, so they brought us to the back courtyard and gave us a couple lounge chairs & two tiny tables and said they would bring any wine we want complimentary since our table was not ready yet. We ordered a couple bottles of sparkling wine and as 9pm approached (an hour past our reservation time!) we started to order charcuterie boards and a few appetizers.
They tried to rush us through the cheeseboards and appetizers, because nothing would fit on the tiny tables they gave us. When they tried to remove a few of our dishes that still had food on them we kindly asked them to leave the plates and they mocked us, we were appalled!
The service continued to get worse and the group that was seated at what was meant to be our table never left. No one on staff, including the manager, and owner said anything to the group that had a 6pm reservation (4 hours+)! Knowing they committed the table to a group of nine people at 8 PM they should have kindly told the other guests when they arrived or during their meal that they have a two hour limit and there is a reservation arriving at 8 PM. This never happened & instead of apologizing to us the staff was rude, and provided us with horrible service. They did not remove anything off of our bill and fully charged us for all the wine which said would be complementary since we did not get a table. We spoke to the manager/owner at the end and he was unapologetic.
I’ve never been so disappointed in the lack of hospitality! Our entire group was very disappointed in the place, no one will be going back, and we will be sure to tell friends to never go. I don’t know how this place still operates. If I wrote for Infatuation, I would give them a 0.5 rating. I can think of 1000 other restaurants I would put in their place. Don’t waste your time...

Sospiro, the Italian word for 'sigh', aptly captures that blissful exhale at the end of a long day when it's finally time to unwind. A visit to this charming wine bar genuinely evokes this very sense of serene contentment. This comes from an impressive combination of the fantastic wine selection, captivating stories from the owner Fabrizio, and a menu that's an artistic masterpiece courtesy of their creative chef, Abraham.
The bar houses an extensive range of small batch natural wines, each with a compelling backstory. Fabrizio, hailing from Rome, shares the history of the wineries and their owners with infectious enthusiasm, making the wine selection process a delightful education.
The chef has curated a menu that is nothing short of brilliant. Every dish stands as a testament to their creativity - the visually stunning Hamachi Crudo and Lobster Tortellini, the exquisite taste of the Eggplant Tempura with house-made Harissa sauce, and the truffle fries that are simply to die for. If you're not typically an oyster enthusiast, their version - topped with champagne cream, basil oil, mignonette foam, and a hint of yuzu - may just convert you, redefining the oyster experience.
Whether you're dropping in for a casual visit, hosting a special private event, seeking a refreshing drink before a night out, or looking for a comforting nightcap, every visit to Sospiro promises a unique and...
Read moreWish I were writing a different review as I am not a fan of leaving not so good reviews, but I did not find this place to be as great as the other reviews. Yes, the restaurant is very cute, nicely decorated, and has a certain vibe to it! Yes, it is very inviting and like others, I happened to be passing by and also was interested in checking it out. Went on a Friday night for a date night and the restaurant was completely full and seemed to be very understaffed. Service was extremely slow and food took forever to come out. I ordered a margarita pizza as a starter and it was just not good. I ate it because I was hungry, but it was more of a flatbread than a pizza and the dough was super chewy and stale. My husband ordered the lasagna bolognese and he said it felt like it came out of a frozen box that you heat up. I ordered the pesto shrimp pasta and it was just not good at all. We ordered the Spanish flight of wine to try, but did not like any of the 3 wines offered (and we are avid Spanish wine drinkers). Wine should have been poured at the table so we at least know what we are having. Staff was very nice and helpful when they came around, but service was not good. Maybe if you go there just for drinks it isn’t so bad? But for sure I will not return for dinner as the food was extremely disappointing! Really wanted to enjoy this place like the other positive reviewers, but unfortunately my experience was...
