Move over Chipotle! Bubbakoo's Burritos has made their appearance in Springs.
Walking in you are greeted with their slogan by the employees behind the counter. I might be a little corny but I like it.
They were busy but the line moved along. Noticed some employees were faster on the line then others. However nothing but smiling faces. Deco was welcoming especially with two tvs with their own TV channel which I thought was interesting. Something to watch while waiting in line. Seatng is limited inside but luckily they have seating outside which is a plus.
Now to the food. After spending over $50 because when it's a new place I like to try almost everything and Bubbakoo's has options for everyone. Vegans to meat eaters to picky children. I order the supreme steak and shrimp Burrito which is cooked to order you get about 6 piece of small size shrimp and a few small pieces (4) of steak for $12.95. You have you're selection of rice and beans and dressings like, Pico or salsa, lettuce, cheese, sour cream, and guac.
$8.50 Boneless wines are nice. White meat and great size. I got the sauce on the side there are 4 to choose from.
$9.00 Chicken quesadilla delicious according to my son. His favorite.
$9.95 The Chiwawa is lightly fried panko crusted cheesy fried rice balls where they build it with their toppings as well. Yum! If you are really hungry get it. Very filling.
$6.95 Order tots cheese and bacon which I was very happy because they use real strips of bacon. $5.50 Curly fries yummy as well. They have nacho cheese and queso cheese. I love the queso cheese.
Big question will I go back? Actually I would I enjoy the atmosphere, customer service and the food but please portion the steak and...
Read moreI had been waiting for this place to open! Like waiting and was SUPER excited as I LOVE to try new places! Stopped after work, the line wait time was roughly 25-30 minutes all together. Let’s start from walking up- WARM & WELCOMING atmosphere! That’s how come I HATE giving 2 stars! Original Sugar Hill guy was there promoting and rapping! After rapping, he walks in and IMMEDIATELY asks for customers to take selfies with him… cool 😎. Fast forward- I get to the front I asked how long will the wings take- 4 minutes he said and I’m like cool! No problem there! I also got a steak burrito! First time trying out- hubby and I opted to get both and split so we could taste different items for future reference. Ordering- they understood me clearly and I had no issues (with my mask on)! I asked for corn and sour cream on the side. They are working out the kinks but their organization skills lead to me not getting my side ingredients. They are reaching over one another… food backed up at the payment station. I turn my head because the girl asked me about confirming what I got and steak was placed on burrito and wrapped so I didn’t get to see it! Got home, cut burrito in 1/2- I am NOT exaggerating- 2 SMALL pieces of steak on my 1/2. Hubby feels bad- opens his portion and he has roughly 7 pieces.. I take 2 of his to not have a vegetarian burrito 🌯. I was sooo disappointed but decided on driving to Boca to Los Bocados for burritos! Wings were good… no ranch was given with them! Glad I had ranch from BWW from the other day. For price, I really expected better experience. Barcode to get rewards on receipt doesn’t work. Maybe I will try again in a month or so! Will update if better...
Read moreBubbakoo's Burritos has potential, and fairly often they realize that potential. The ingredients are fresh and of good quality. When it's good, it's GREAT. For a while, we thought we had "found our Taco Tuesday spot." On days when the service is great, the food is prepared quickly and correctly, has awesome flavor, and is prepared exactly to your liking. For a while, we were near-daily customers. Four out of five meals I had, some dine-in and some take-out, were quite good.
Unfortunately, service is hit-or-miss -- at both extremes. When it's bad, it is very bad. Ground beef should never be served undercooked in prepared foods but, that's exactly what happened in Dining Companion's to-go Taco Trio. Finishing that meal likely would have ended with an emergency room visit, so it became moderately-priced garbage and was tossed in the trash at home. I placed an online order that was brought home for a Burritodilla (Order# 2490780841058306, 2-23-2024 5:51 PM). It was overly greasy and tasted horrible. I asked why DC didn't return for a refund or a remake -- and reportedly the attitude of the staff that day was remarkably uncaring; it probably would have made things worse.
Closer management supervision is clearly required. Not in any hurry to return, but probably will after taking a long break to give them a chance to reboot their supervision.
Above review as from Feb-Mar -- this update is June 2024. We gave Bubbakoo's several "one more second chance" visits the past few days, but I think they're out of second...
