Definitely recommend taking your hard earned my and business ELSEWHERE.
I showed up yesterday (Saturday 8/1/2020) at 12:30pm. No one was answering the drive thru for me or several other customers.
Upon driving around the building: there was an employee standing outside in the front. I pulled up into a parking spot and asked if they were open. The employee rolled her eyes and started walking away. While she was walking away, I stepped out of my car and asked her again; she literally just turned around, looked at me, and kept walking away from the restaurant. I yelled excuse me because she was already about 30 feet away now and asked again: at that point she said "idk" and threw her hand up basically telling me to screw my self.
There were other cars parked in the parking lot and the lights were on inside the store but no would would respond to the drive thru and the employee that I saw would not answer my question as to whether the store was open.
I've been a loyal customer here for over 10 years. However, they have just lost my future business because of this horrible experience.
If waiting in the drive thru line for an ENTIRE HOUR just to receive a mere burger and onion rings isn't bad enough already: this was definitely the icing on top of the cake.
BUYER BEWARE! SPEND YOU HARD EARNED MONEY ELSEWHERE.
FYI: there is always a 20 minute to 1+ hour wait time on a regular basis when you use their drive thru; please ensure to keep that in mind, next time you're hungry.
Don't let them take advantage of you as a customer! They're the one's who need our business. There are a ton of better competition and substitutes out there.
Due to this location's lack of care for the customer, rudeness, and lack of service: they'll continue to lose customers and if nothing changes on their part, this location will probably wind up going out of business.
I'll just go to five guys and give them my business whenever I'm craving a good burger and shake.

Read moreI have been going to this Steak and Shake since I was in high school and have had very few problems, but tonight was the straw that broke the camels back. We went to this restaurant looking for a quick bite, and what happened next really turned me off of this place. For starters, we were seated quickly without issue, it seems like we cam during a shift change so we were patient. After about 30 minutes I decided to go over to the counter where no one acknowledge me, but a sever did come over to the table to tell my friends that she would be right with us, so I sat down. About 6 tables were seated around us in the time after that and here is where the story takes an unexpected turn, (well unexpected if you don't read any of the other reviews) the waitress takes all of the other drink orders for the customers that were seated after us. Now, the waitstaff is young and experienced (I'm positive about this) and none of this is entirely their blame. Understanding this I decided to make another trip to the counter, and after about 3 minutes of waiting a manager (one of two who were in clear line of sight.) finally walked over to me, and I asked her "Hey, I know its busy, so could you get some help for the waitresses on the floor. We haven't even gotten our drink order in and we have been here almost an hour.". She replied with an "Ok." and I went to sit back down. Apparently the manager took that as, "Go, ask the waitresses why they haven't attended to us yet." After seeing the lack of care in the managers response, I with my friends, decided to leave in the rain, behind us a father and his two boy's also leaving, after seeing us trying to get served. Not once did I see a manager look out of the back in that hour, all they did was set the young girls up for failure tonight, and that is wrong.
I wont be eating here for a long while, thanks for nothing to the managers on duty tonight! Step up your game guys! Also check my other reviews, it takes a whole lot to get me to this point, makes me feel old having to yell at wall about this. Hopefully someone else sees this and heeds the tale!

Read moreI give them two stars as past experiences were good. Otherwise based on tonight's experience one star is generous. We were rewarding our son for an exploratory report card and this is one of his favorite restaurants. Typically the service is pretty good and whatever goes wrong is rectified by the awesome managers. Tonight however was a grave exception. We ordered our typical burger / shake combos w/ water to drink and my wife noticed a large fly swirling in her water. We requested new drinks as there were flies in every water glass. When the new drinks arrived, there were flies in every drink. The server acknowledged this and brought us our third round of drinks. Upon receipt of our third round, one drink had a dead fly in it. A nearby server saw this and brought us our sixth drink with a fly in it to replace it.
At this point I had had enough and was completely disgusted. I approached the main order area and asked to speak with a manager. One of the cooks looked at me like he was going to beat me up, and the rest of the employees completely disregarded my requests until I raised my voice and insisted that I wanted to speak with a manager.
Finally after a few awkward minutes, Beverly the manager arrived. I explained the situation and she demanded proof that there were flies in my drink. I asked her to look and she stated she couldn't see any, and she requested proof that they were there. I could clearly see the fly, but she denied it was there. While conversing with her a huge fly landed on her shoulder while she was denying any infestation. The people around me laughed as she made a mockery of my complaint.
