Went to eat at Wingstop for the first time in a while. We normally order but I decided I wanted to take my 2 teens and get out of the house.
This situation was ridiculous.
Ordering in itself was challenging as there was a language barrier. However, this is something I'm used to living in South Florida so not a reason for a negative review.
When ordering, I asked for all flats. The young lady said there would be an extra charge, that's typical so I said no problem. There was another worker which I'm assuming was the manager who rudely said "NO, we aren't doing that today, we are out of flats"
Ok, I guess drumsticks it is, not the end of the world.
I asked for Medium Garlic, but I was told they didn't offer that option. Mind you I've placed that order for delivery at least a hundred times over the years lol.
I asked if I could get them medium with garlic on the side, and she said yes. She then asked if I'd like the garlic tossed in. Since that's exactly what I was asking for to begin with, I said yes.
They asked if we'd like to eat or take out. We opted to eat in and sat down.
When they called my name, my son went to get the food and it was all packed as takeout. Ok, mistakes happen. We simply unpacked everything.
When I opened my order, not only did I have half flats (so they weren't out) they also gave me garlic parmesan with no Buffalo sauce at all.
I walked up to the window and was confronted (not greeted by any means) by the same lady (manager) who lied about the flats.
I explained that I asked for Medium with a side of Garlic. She said "We don't mix flavors so you're going to have to pay for the sauce"
I said no problem and pulled out my card. Her response was "Go get in line"
At this point, the line was deep, and pretty much out the door. I wasn't waiting to pay for a sauce for an order they messed up.
I walked back to the window and told them I would just prefer a refund. The same woman who I believe is a manager said "you can have a mild sauce" No thank you.
I did not order or want garlic parmesan with mild sauce.
She then told me she couldn't refund 1 item, I'd have to get back in line, cancel my order, and redo it without the wings. I said ok, I sat back down and ate a chicken sandwich that I had ordered for us to try, it was a new flavor.
In the middle of my eating, she came and asked me to handle the transaction when I was ready. However, her tone and aggressive approach made it clear she wanted it handled now and not later.
I gladly got up and took care of the transaction.
Once done I started to clean up the table. We dined in so not something you'd be expected to do and since they packed everything as takeout, there was quite a bit of trash.
There was no trashcan available to customers so instead of leaving everything on the table or counter, she saw me looking for trash. Instead of taking it and throwing it away, she pulled a can from behind the counter and let me dump it. This I would understand somewhat if there was a bunch of bones or food but everything was collected and put in the to-go bags they served us in.
As we are walking out of the restaurant, she stops my teenage daughter and tells her she forgot to clean up her drink cup. My daughter being polite, apologized and went back for the cup.
I was already outside when this happened and frankly, I'm happy I was. That would have probably been the last straw and I would have responded in a not-so-polite way.
I would advise you to stay away from this specific location. Overall I love Wingstop and order at least once or twice a month. I can assure you I will never give this location my business again while she's employed there.
Hope this helps someone from having a bad experience and ruining the...
Read moreI’m a doordash driver that regularly picks up orders from all of the Wing Stops located across Broward County. I’ve never encountered issues at any of the other locations except for this one. I’ve had two recent negative encounters with employees at this location where I was blown away by how unprofessional and rude they were. Probably two of the worst experiences I’ve had at any restaurant I’ve picked up orders from (I’ve completed over 1100 deliveries) were at this location. I came to the restaurant this evening at 11:45 pm after doordash indicated there was an order to pick up from this store. When I approached the front door, it was locked, the lights were turned off, and there were a group of employees congregated in the middle of the dining area that all started yelling at me they were not doing anymore orders. I showed them my phone on the other side of the glass door to indicate a customer had clearly placed an online order that went through and was accepted, otherwise the order wouldn’t have made its way to me, and the employees proceeded to crack open the door, yell at me again that they weren’t doing anymore orders and that I needed to leave. I asked them why they were closed at 11:45 p.m. when they’re supposed to be open until midnight, and the employee responded to me that they were still open, which was ridiculous given the fact the door was locked, the lights were off, and they were refusing to make an order that had been processed on doordash’s end. I didn’t dignify the employee’s ridiculous statement with a response and simply walked away unable to pick up the food my customer had ordered. Had a very similar experience at this same location last month where again employees were horribly rude. Clearly a bunch of workers that don’t want to do anything 30 minutes before the store is supposed to close, and who treat people insanely rudely when they come up to the front door and are confused when service isn’t provided while the store is still “open.” I highly recommend avoiding this particular location and going to a different Wingstop. I’ve never had any issues at the other ones. There’s definitely a bad culture at this specific store. Appallingly bad customer service and terrible treatment of patrons by...
Read morePlaced an online order for the 20 boneless wing meal deal. I ordered 10 buffalo, 5 garlic parm, and 5 lemon pepper & fries. I got to the restaurant and was handed my order. I get home only to find out that they were missing my 10 Buffalo wings. I tried calling them to let them know they messed up my order and that I’m coming back with the food for them to correct it but they never picked up the phone as it went to voicemail. Mind you I live about 20 minutes away. I get back to the restaurant with the bag of food I received untouched and told them I was missing food and would like them to remake it. Instead of acknowledging that they made the mistake and accommodating the customer, the manager came over and questioned me implying that I kept the food that was missing from the order at home and that she had packed the original order correctly. I told her this is not true and for them to remake the order. She said, “I’m going to do this for you once, next time you are not getting it. We pack it a certain way and it was in there because I made it.” Well, I hate to break the news to you but it wasn’t in the bag. So she ends up only making the 10 Buffalo wings instead or the whole order even though I brought it back untouched so now I have cold food with my 10 wings. Why would I go out of my way driving back 20 minutes with the incomplete order they gave me to try and get 10 free wings out of it? I just wanted what I ordered. None of the other staff seemed to care nor seemed like they wanted to be there. As of this post, the restaurant has a 2.9 star rating and they just opened up this location last year. That’s pretty bad considering how recently new the location is. I can see the rating go down even more with how they treat their customers. Yes, I probably should have checked my order but the order was simple enough that I feel like I didn’t need to as I’ve never really had this issue at other Wingstop locations. I will never return to this restaurant as they cannot hold themselves accountable for their mistakes but instead blame the customer. Nasty,...
