Starbucks — Restaurant in Coralville

This Starbucks is by far the worst I’ve ever been to. They consistently get my order wrong and have poor customer service. I keep giving them chances and chances since it’s a convenient location but no more. The only thing they seem to ever get correct for me is iced tea but anytime I order a coffee drink it has been wrong. I once ordered a hot drink and they made it iced so I asked for my correct order. I watched the barista strain the ice out and add hot milk to a cup for my “hot drink.” What I received was hot milk with a splash of coffee in the end, turning a $6-7 drink non-drinkable. I’ve ordered and paid for a drink that they didn’t have everything to make and didn’t tell me until I asked why my drink was not as advertised. These extras cost extra and of course no apologies, no discount, nothing. If you don’t have ingredients that’s completely fine, I’ll change my order but don’t charge me for something then not put it in my drink and not even tell me. I go to Starbucks all the time and have been a gold member for years, I’ve never had as many issues as I’ve had at this Starbucks in the past year.

Long story short if you order anything other than plain teas or coffee, this might not be the best Starbucks for you. If you have customizations other than their specialty drinks, forget about it since they can’t even make...

This Starbucks location is the best in the corridor. My morning stop before work entails an Iced Matcha Latte I get creative with depending on the season but my favorite is their iced matcha with a cold foam flavor. The customer service is SUPERIOR. If you walk in the door you are instantly greeted good morning by the hard working busy bustling staff. Pickup your drink from their always organized pickup station and the service doesn’t stop! They tell you thank you and have a great day each time and they make sure you hear it! Every barista is so friendly and they genuinely are welcoming you and wishing you a great day! Never a mistake to my drink, food is hot, and never overdone, as some locations tend to overcooks sandwiches and bread gets hard. Need Starbucks in a jiffy? Boy they move along that drive through! I don't know if it is because I went during a busy time or if I just got a barista who wasn't nice, but unlike the other reviews, my barista was not friendly at all and was quite curt with me. Again, I was there at a busy time (around 7:30 am) and needed a coffee traveler last minute. I understand this is something you usually need to order ahead, but it was something we needed last minute for a business meeting and due to our breakfast catering plans falling through. And, we understood we would have to wait while it brewed. BTW... he pointed out how we really needed to order this ahead of time.

The barista was even more rude when I went to the register for a second time to order more items.

My boss, who was with me, couldn't believe how I was treated. How embarrassing for me and Starbucks!
