I have eight here several times over the past couple of years.
It has always been good.
I absolutely adore the burritos with the cheese sauce over the top, they are phenomenal.
One of the things I always notice when dining here is that it just feels so bright and upscale!
It’s hard to put the feeling I get to specific words.
I think the word that comes to my mind after thinking about it would be “trendy“!
From the logo to the presentation, you can tell it’s been well thought out, I can really see this place being a huge national brand if they wanted to!
I love Spanish food, and the two top items are always tacos and burritos !
They are just always go to favorites!
One thing I noticed is they give you (2) tortilla shells with each taco.
This is totally a preference thing, I enjoy all of the flavors much more with a single tortilla, and this was just something I discovered recently, lol
To me, the flavor of the entire taco Is so much more robust with one tortilla!
The other thing I wanna mention here is the price per taco for lunch.
$2 per Taco for a choice of multiple meats is so extremely reasonable!
I believe the time frame is between 11 AM and 3 PM that they offer this day not just taco Tuesday!
We are customers for life and don’t plan on eating here anytime soon especially when we’re in the Cornelius or Lake Norman area !
It is one of my topics in the Lake Norman eat lunch,...
Read moreI had high hopes for Juan Loco. Growing up in a Mexican home, and having lived in Mexico City, I crave good Mexican food. I came on a Taco Tuesday. The restaurant was freezing cold inside. Strange item to add to a review…but it was so cold multiple guests went outside to sit on a bench and eat…and I love it when a room is cool and crisp…but this was next level freezing cold. It was bizarre. — They do not serve horchata or jamaica which is too bad because it’s delicious and makes the food seem more authentic. Tacos do not have pineapple on them, leaving them a bit bland…but decent. From what I observed, there was only one flavor is salsa to choose from…and luckily it was delicious…and so were the complimentary chips for dining in. Along with tacos I ordered the al pastor burrito. For $10 it was WAY too small and grossly overpriced. For $10, I would expect a very large and delicious burrito. This one was mostly filled with basic refried beans and store bought rice. It was low on flavor. The tortilla even seemed cheap. — I hate giving poor reviews, but I only give this one because I love Mexican food and believe that with some feedback Juan Loco could transition to being an amazing taco place. So much potential…so little of that...
Read moreThis is the second time I’ve ordered from Juan Loco. The first experience was good and the food was delicious. I just tried to place an order an a gentleman answered the phone and immediately put me on hold for 5 minutes. I called back and a female put me on hold for several minutes. I called back and I said I’ve been on hold almost 10 minutes and she replied well we are short handed and I have a long line. I said that’s no excuse not to take my simple order. Your line of customers are gonna wait because they are already there where Im trying to pomace an order. I should be your most important customer at the moment as I’m trying to give you money. So she said she was gonna put me on hold, instead she hung up on me. I tried calling back 2 times and no one answered. In all my experience this is really poor customer service and the owners should be concerned as I was being persistent in placing my order. Most customer will just call somewhere else. So I’m really sad this female doesn’t have better phone etiquette or...
