I never write reviews, but this one is important to me, and I will update the stars if I visit again with a positive experience.
Let me state that I drive from Concord to Davidson just to pick up Ositio's, because their food is very, very good (when fresh).
The past 3 times I have placed orders for pickup, there has been an hour wait. No problem there, it's the weekend, they are understaffed, all good. The issue is that I will arrive at the scheduled pickup time (hour ticket time for tacos is insane already), and then will wait another 30 mins before I can walk out with my food. The staff has to ask me multiple times who I am, and what I ordered, along with most other waiting customers. They have to write "Here" on the tickets when a pickup customer makes it on location, which possibly (most likely) means they don't even fire the ticket for your order until you are in the facility. Confusion and chaos is quite present.
My most recent order had the exact same experience, except for my appetizers, and half of my food sat on a table for over 20 minutes before the rest of my order was ready and was absolutely cold by the time I even made it out to the car.
The owner?/manager? knew something was not right and asked if everything was okay. I informed her about how amazing their food is, but the ticket times, extended waiting after scheduled pickup, and food that sat for over 20 minutes will force me not to order again until they can get more staff, or figure out a better system. She was very understanding, polite, and of course stated that this was not the service/product she wanted to provide.
As I was talking with the owner/manger, the chef walked up disgruntled (stressed out from being in the weeds I assume) and asked me what the issue was. I calmly restated what I told the owner/manger and the chef was visibly angered by the comments, reaching for my bag asking "so what do you want to do about it?" I told him I wanted to take my food (this was never not the plan), was not looking for anything free, and only offered my input to the owner/manger once asked.
The chef walked away, the owner/manager apologized again, and I drove home to eat a less than stellar meal, mainly due to it sitting...
Read moreDiscovered this place about three years ago as my classmates and I would hurry over on our lunch break to go indulge in tacos and salsa before finishing our class days. More recently, I have became quite a regular as this is my favorite taco place in the whole Charlotte area. As for atmosphere, it's always clean, family friendly, the employees are always very helpful with the menu and carry smiles (even with some tougher customers that I've witnessed), the owner, a super nice guy who takes pride in his business, is here every time I come. As for service, I've never had to wait long for my food after orders. I've never had an order wrong. I've never had any bad quality food. It's always been 10/10. As for food, AMAZING. I always enjoy coming after work or when I'm having those taco cravings. I highly suggest ordering the Taco Platter and trying out a couple different ones! My favorite is the A-shorty. I recently have been enjoying their loaded nachos (the best) and their margaritas. I will continue to be a loyal customer here as long as the Charlotte area has me! I hope one day they'll cater my wedding.
Also for all my bad parkers like myself, there's plenty of parking! No worries about all that...
Read moreReally unfortunate because the food can be pretty good (it’s not consistent unfortunately) but the place is in general, an uncomfortable setting. We have been in several times in the last 2 years, sometimes it’s a very welcoming atmosphere lace other times you can feel the tension of the staff. Recently, my husband & I came in on a fairly busy Saturday night, but we along with most of the dining room we were shocked to see (I think the manager? Boss? Owner??) storm out of the kitchen berating the employees- some of them looked like teenagers! He proceeded to charge through the dining room yelling a number, we think he was angrily looking for a table? We were in line at the counter but after watching him storm back into the kitchen yelling & cursing profanities we decided to order take out instead of dining in & said it would be our last time We have since found another spot to enjoy tacos & wont be back to support this small business. I can’t imagine if our own teenage son had his first job there & had to work in that...
