Wingstop — Restaurant in Cornelius

This is my first time ever trying a Wingstop before, so I'll start with the pros.

Pros: Easy to order online. Food was ready 5 minutes prior to my chosen pickup time. The wings were pretty good. I'd say they are very similar to East Coast Wings. The side of carrots and celery is a surprisingly good amount for the extra cost.

Cons: I ordered 10 wings, but when I got home and opened it, there were only 8... So I'll give the benefit of the doubt that it's a new place but if I get shorted wings again I won't come back. The small parking lot can be difficult to get in and out of during lunch hour, and I believe it'll also be the case at dinner too. Charging extra for sauce like ranch and blue cheese.

I'd never been to a Wingstop before and wanted to see what the big deal was. I got the traditional wings in garlic parmesan and Mexican street heat. The wings have a nice crisp to them but they are SMALL. Both wing flavors were fine but nothing special. My meal partner got the boneless wings and she enjoyed them. I tried one and it was just a glorified chicken nugget. The fries were the star of the show, IMO. They give you a ton of them and you can tell they are fresh cut.

The service was fine and the dining area was completely empty other than us. It seems most people do take out rather than dine in because they were doing a brisk carry out business. The dining room was clean, as was the restroom. They do keep everything tidy!

First time trying “Wing Stop” and i rate it a 3/10 overall. I first enter the location being the only customer and the employees are arguing about who will take my order. I order and wait 25 minutes for 3 tenders & fries. But the wait is the least of my worries. The food was warm but not hot, The fries were way over seasoned / soggy. The biggest issue i have is the staff. The staff were very rude, Not professional, Phones out then touching food, Playing “Rap” music from their phones, Foul language, Also were in and out of the bathroom with one another on multiple occasions. I think that this is a prime location for a “Wing Stop” and it’s ashamed the management / staffing is very poor. Hopefully they can get a grip on the staff and i would love to give it...
