I dont Typically post a review but today is the exception. The establishment messed up my order at lunch time. They gave me the wrong meat type. I asked for Carne Asada and got Cabeza (head). So I wasn’t gonna eat that. Honest mistake for sure! I called and they said to come back and they’ll redo. I told them it would be about 5 hours later since I was watching the baby and couldn’trightaway. When i returned, they refused to remake the order without the old food. They said this was told to me on the phone…it wasn’t. It was 5 hours ago and didn’t even think to bring it. Since i didn’t live close and had the baby, this was already a big inconvenience, but I get that mistakes happen. However, to hold someone accountable for your mistake by not bringing the original food back is a bit ridiculous. It was dinner time now and I was trying to buy more food too! Me and the wife had been coming here every week for 5 yrs. That’s an estimated $7k+ spent in this place. They wanted to ruin that all for a $13 order of tacos with Cabeza. I had a tired and hungry baby with me, all by myself. I was told there was no swap without the old food. I remained calm and just tried to explain it wasn’t told to me. They got really defensive at this point and just refused. I was then told to take it up with a manager tomorrow but they “couldn’t give out manager name..”. That’s the policy. I’m here every week and they are making it so difficult over one order of tacos. The trauma of my daughter screaming while in the drive thru is more painful that this order of tacos. Just based on principle, never coming again. Here’s a picture of your “head” tacos that were dug from the trash. Congratulations on winning. I’m sure it...

Just came back from ordering carne asada fries. And a pineapple drink. Halfway through my meal my wife sees a hair coming out of the melted cooked cheese. Wife pulled out the hair and i take back the food to show them how disgusting it is to have hair in my food. The supervisor yonella on duty I spoke too said that it is my hair. I told impossible since it has been cooked. She goes back in to see the cameras. She said after 10 - 15 mins of watching the cameras that it was my hair that i was moving around too much when the actual cook served me with it. What a waste of my time for their hygienic mistake as well as i didn't. I'm just upset that i wasn't able to take the hair with me. I would have sent it in for DNA testing or something to prove that it wasn't my hair. She was aggressive. I still feel the disgust. She said she would not give me a refund but she would give me a half order. I don't want anything from a disgusting place like this. She continued to blame it on me. I just left. This was unfortunately the 2nd incident and i won't wait until the 3rd one. .

1st incident i ordereded the hot Cheetos carne asada fries and they gave me regular carne asada fries. I called because it was drive through order. They said there was nothing on the receipts. I told them I had a receipt. They didn't wanna help me. It was only 6 mins. I went to the Sonic to get ice cream. I came right back. They looked at it but the manager was extremely aggressive over the phone and they looked upset as hell in denial. They open not one hot Cheeto. They went ahead and made my order with hate and despair. They lost a chill customer. With...

WOW is all I can say! Normally we love this place, until who ever the night manager on 2-18 1:00am tried to start an altercation with us over a miscommunication with our order. While ordering a tostada with no meat, the drive thru attendant asked us to wait a moment, so we did, then finished the order when she came back. Got the food, started pulling out and realized that there was meat on the tostada so we pulled back through and explained what happened over the speaker. We were told no problem pull up, waited 10 minutes behind someone else patiently, and then handed back over the tostada with the meat on it thinking everything was fine until said manager came to the window aggressively yelling that we never asked for it without meat (I've been a vegetarian for 16 years, we definitely asked for it without meat). I then tried to explain that we were told to wait while that part of our order was being made to which he immediately interrupted waving his arms around and yelled "I'm not speaking to you!" over and over again and wouldn't hear me out. We were both baffled by this treatment as if we had some crazy expectations in getting what we ordered and just left. I don't know if we came on the wrong night or what but won't be coming back to this location anymore if misunderstandings are treated...

After several years of traveling and making this our to go stop place while getting back home in san diego tonight was our last time that we stop there, service was the worse we had ever had, we oder a mulita, sope and a fish taco and we didnt get any utensils nor napkins, when I was about to ask for menos wedges the lady had already lock the window, we asked if they would sell me an entire avocado due to my wife being discharge from surgery and she cant have solid food yet and they woulnt sell me one, at the time of ordering I felt that the person taking order was irritated or not happy to privide me with a service am paying for. And the worse one was when my wife was about to eat her grill fish taco I guess a 50c coin is bigger then the fish she got on her taco.

The main reasons why I come here is because of the quality food, quick service and friendly vibe. I was a hardcore McDonald’s fan, but after a couple trips to this amazing place I’m never going back. I urge you to try this place if you find yourself always eating out due to your busy lifestyle. Castañeda’s will remind you that fast food doesn’t have to be garbage food.
