Mood - Eyes bigger than Stomach
Ok I'll admit, when I'm hungry I can't eat that much. However don't you dare think to tell me that. Just let me indulge in my moment to think I'm participating in a Texas Style 60 minute contest. Yes I'll get a box to go. Yes I'll eat the remainder later. However you don't have to rub it in my face. Just let me have my moment :)
Upon entering was quickly greeted and ushered over to a table. I had been driving in traffic from Vegas to here so I was beyond hungry. Menus were given and drink order was taken.
Opted for Thai Tea, Lemon Ice Tea, Scallion Pancake,Cucumber Salad,XLB, Beef Noodle Soup, and Pan Fried Dumplings. Oh my this was a feast and nothing disappointed in the slightest. I'm a lover of XLB and was highly pleased with the flavor.
Interior is great in size. There are several seating arrangements. Everything was very clean. Music was playing in the background. The station or was on was really good. That's always nice when you have great food and great music to pair it with.
Would most def recommend. Pricing was actually reasonable. Especially for all the food we got. The staff checked on our table continually. The customer service was very friendly...
Read moreAbsolutely one of the worse meals we have ever eaten. Have no idea how this place gets more than one star or is open for business. The food here is horrendously disgusting. Ordered the spicy wonton...unedible...ate one...spit it out and pushed the plate away. Ordered orange chicken....I kid you not THERE WAS NO CHICKEN! Plus the taste is hard to describe...but it was not good, left 90 percent on the plate. I would normally demand my money back but I was not in the mood to argue with the listless waiter/staff. I wrote this 40 off, it was hard to do, but we paid and left. Now you would think that both meals were basically not touched, and we said no to a to go box, the waiter would of asked if anything was wrong NOPE.. the robot brought us our check and gladly took our money. Avoid this place...
Read moreThe beef noodle soup is subpar. The broth was weak and tasted like tomato soup. The noodles are cheap with a flavor that doesn't match the dish. The beef has a slight tang to it instead of a savory flavor. The dish is a complete failure compared to what normal Chinese/Taiwanese food is supposed to be like. The soup dumplings are also cheap American style with a weird, slightly sweet flavor to them, which has nothing to do with actual Xiao Long Bao.
Don't let the pictures fool you, like they did me. This is just a fast food place trying to serve dishes they aren't good at making. You might be better off ordering the standard fast food items.
The concept for this restaurant is nice, but the execution is an absolute travesty. There need to be some SERIOUS recipe and ingredient...
