This Wendy's on Staples (in the WalMart shopping center) is the worst. On the occasions I've gone there, I found the staff was snarky (about coupons) when taking my order and each time the order I received was made incorrectly. The first time I got home and realized their error I called and spoke with a manager and they offered a replacement. Ok, fine. That was fulfilled correctly. The second time I went, I ordered a Double Baconator Plain-- that's 2 beef patties-- and a Small Fries Extra Crispy. Not difficult, no need to make sarcastic remarks about the Whataburger across the street while taking my order, just take the order. When I got home again I realized what I got was wrong: a Baconator Junior-- that's 1 beef patty, not 2-- and my fries were under done(!). I called the store and the phone rang and rang until voice mail was offered. I gave up. I'm really not a person that likes to complain, but I believe things should be done right and if not, they should be corrected. SO, that's it. Strike two and you're out, Wendy's at 4123 Staples St., Corpus Christi, TX. I'm never going there again and I'll tell everyone to avoid your Wendy's because anyone would be better off at "That place across the street" as your employee called it. I wish I could leave NO STARS, but I have to at least tick 1 to post this and well yah, I got food, although overcharged and incorrect... but...
Read moreSo, this was the second time I had gone to this Wendy's late night. I went through the drive-thru and ordered, much like the first time a lady came on and asked if she could take my order. After I said the first thing which was just a $6 double stack biggie bag with Dr Pepper, as I statted to tell her I wanted a 4 for 4, made the same as the doublestack....and off we go, she said, sir, sir, sir, hold on, she interrupted me as I was speaking, was very rude in her tone, almost in an attempt to be condescending towards me, enough that my fiance was ready to jump out of the passenger seat and give her a piece of her mind. I remained calm, collected, and even apologized for going to fast. When I got up to the window she tells me she charged the guy that was 2 cars in front of me, for my bill, and that she needed to charge me 2.50 less to take care of their bill and that she couldn't charge my card 2 times to make the difference up, however could do cash. Long story shorter, she gave us the wrong food, took it back, gave it to the people that had been waiting for a long time, and thanked us. Extremely poor example of customer service of many kind, and will be coaching her myself next week, in the drive-thru, on proper customer...
Read moreThe service was borderline. No hello coming through the door or anything. Ordered our food and got it in a timely manner, it was delicious. But what happened while I was there was unfortunate. There was a homeless man there who had just finished eating his food. An employee went up to him and told him he needed to leave. He was minding his business, not bothering anyone, he didn't smell, and was a paying customer. Not only did she ask him to leave loud enough for the entire restaurant to hear, she hovered over him, waiting for him to get his things, it was very degrading. She said he couldn't hang out in there. So I asked if she was going to ask another guy to leave since he was just in the corner on his phone the entire time I was there. She said she could, walked outside to make a call, then went through the employee door to avoid telling the other guy to leave (I'm sure too avoid me as well).
I understand you have to run a business, I too work in the food industry. But at that point he was a paying customer, not bothering anyone. I don't understand why he was asked to leave or why she treated him in the degrading way that she did. It was honestly...
