We decided to eat at Dennys in Corsicana TX on Monday December 20 at about 6:00pm. There was only one other group in the restaurant, I guess that should have been our first clue. We ordered our food figuring this should not take long since ours was the only order they had to work on. Twenty minutes later the waiter came over to inform us they were out of the country fried steaks. We were wondering how it could possibly take this long to realize they were out? Meanwhile three other parties had arrived and been seated. We reordered and waited.... We noticed that one of the parties that arrived after us was being served but there was a problem with their order. Now we had been there for almost one hour so we asked about the status of our order and was told they were working on ours and it should be out shortly. Meanwhile another group that had arrived behind us was served their food. When we told the waiter about it a manager came to our table, good, finally maybe something will happen, wrong. He said they were having problems hiring people and had a new cook but if he had to he would cook our order. Understand we had now been the more than an hour... Finally our food was brought out. One order was completely wrong, and when they went back to fix it again it was brought out wrong. Another order was pancakes they didn't bring syrup so we asked for some. Again they brought out the original messed up order and again it was completely wrong with items that were not even on the order added and other items that were supposed to be on it not there. Still no syrup. By now we were not happy, the manager got an attitude with us so we just asked for our bill. He rang up our tab with an attitude because we didn't leave a tip. Half of our groups order was messed up or wasn't served and he had an attitude! We drove down the road to Sonic and ate, it was great. I would very highly recommend you not eat at the...
Read moreMy family and I went to Dennys this morning 2/19/23, to take my 15 year old for breakfast for his birthday. We had a party of 3 adults, 2 children and a baby. We arrived around 10:35am. We waited maybe 10 minutes to be seated. The waitress was very friendly and quickly took our drink orders. We looked over the menu, and I decided I really didn’t want breakfast and wanted a burger instead. We ordered about 25 minutes after arriving, so around 11am. When the waitress came to take our order, I started out by saying ID have the 5 pepper burger. The waitress quickly told me they would not be able to make any burgers, T- bone steaks, or salmon. I asked is that just rightnow or all day? She said all day. I then asked why there was not a sign on the door, or someone say something when customers are coming in, instead of letting them sit down, look over the menu, decide what they want and then when you order that’s when you say we’ll we can’t make any of these items all day? The waitress said yeah I know. Well, that’s doesn’t give anyone a choice whether to go ahead and wait to be seated, and just order what they do have, or to decide well they really don’t have much to order other than breakfast. I saw a n entire table of people wait to be seated for 15 minutes, then got to the table and ordered drinks, then got right back up to leave when they started to order and the waitress told them they didn’t have anything. It took us about an hour from getting in the door to get our food. Food was good and service was good, but they should have had a sign up or someone telling people as they were coming in that they were out of everything. I will start asking from the time I arrive if they even have anything other that breakfast to cook. I spent $66 after the coupon I received in my email. It was definitely not worth it when I had to order something I...
Read moreManagement is downright rude and awful. My husband's car broke down on the street next to the Denny's. Although it was not Denny's parking lot, I did want to alter the management that the car was there and we'd be coming back to tow it, so please don't assume it's abandoned and have it towed. I was really polite to him when talking, but when he walked outside to see where the car was, he got hostile with me and said, "It's not in my parking lot, so it's not my problem. I'm not going to tow it but don't waste my time with this nonesense either. I have important things to do and a broken credit card machine right now that I need to take care of, and here you are wasting my time with this? Leave me alone."
Little did he know that I'm a resident of Corsicana, and due to his behavior, I will never patron his establishment ever again. He was so incredibly rude to me that I was embarrassed I even took the time to let him know. It made me wonder then, if he was that mad about me telling him about our car when it was just NEXT to the Denny's (the road lead nowhere but specifically to Denny's parking lot, which is why I thought he might need to know), then what would he have done had my car broken down in the driveway or taken up a parking spot!? Probably been a jerk about that too and had it towed.
The two other times I ate here, before this incident, it was a decent experience. Granted, it was entirely because of the two workers I dealt with, as the food was simply not that good, at least the service was enjoyable. Buy with that kind of manager? I'd imagine they didn't last long, and have since moved on to better jobs. I definitely would not recommend to my teens to apply there for a job though. Not if their boss was that...
