Golden Chick — Restaurant in Corsicana

The Chicken at this location used to be good a few weeks ago, but this week we went into this location and bought the $25 - 8 piece family box of both fried and roast chicken, with rolls and 2 family sides, and even paid for an up grade to get half breasts(4), we started to eat the chicken and noticed that it didn't taste like it had before, the marinade & seasonings were way too strong & salty, also the roasted portion was too spicy, the texture of the meat didn't seem normal as it had before, the meat was not cooked all the way done, my husband noticed a bloody look near the bone, and it left such an after taste & sticky film in your mouth that taking drinks of your soda, and even eating other foods afterwards couldn't even remove for hours, we felt sick at our stomachs after and burped up the same bad taste for hours, we only ate part of one piece of chicken each, the Manager assured us that nothing was wrong with our food, and she based that on the fact that no one else had complained about it yet, she took the rest of the uneaten chicken & refunded only half of our money, we travel a lot in & out of state, and eat at Golden Chick Restaurants often at other locations which we've had no problems at so far, but after this experience we will never eat at this Corcicana location again, and that's a real shame because Corsicana Texas is were we actually live, I wouldn't recommend this...

We helped my brother and his wife move into their first home over the weekend, and since there were so many of us, fast food was easiest since everything’s still being unpacked. I let The gentleman know at the drive thru that we had a big order and said it was fine. We spent $76.00 there and waited, the waiting part wasn’t the issue. What the issue was is when we actually started eating the food. There was this weird too crispy on the outside and too soggy on the inside texture, most the chicken skins were soggy like they weren’t cooked all the way, and the baked chicken had 0 seasoning but it was dark. It was weird, a big order that honestly felt wasteful. We usually are never disappointed with golden chick but this location, maybe someone forgot to season or maybe something changed, but this chicken wasn’t...

Do not eat here. We brought home a large meal for two families and upon eating it we realized it was rotten chicken. We contacted the location and the manager said to bring it back. We brought it back and Jennifer, the manager, would not give us a full refund and when I asked for the owner's name she would not provide it or give us a number to contact anyone else. We are contacting the health department because kids and our elderly grandfather ate the rotten chicken and we are hoping we don't get sick. Jennifer showed no empathy and would not give us a full refund. At least show a little emotion and don't lie about not knowing who the owner is and telling us they're is nothing more you can...
