Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Corsicana

I can only give this review in a chronological order. So much occurred that I don't want to miss anything. I am also still sitting here as I write this review

Lunch time at 12:30 in Corsicana. My son and I were in town and were looking for a quick lunch. I choose Pizza Hut Buffet.

As I walked in my senses were torn. The strip center appears new. The Pizza Hut appears new. The furniture, the decorations, the equipment all appear new. (That's how the received the one star). But the tables were piled with dishes and classware and uneaten food. And not piled like a table left. But piled like everyone was just throwing their dishes on other tables.

After I paid for our Buffets, a fare price, I realized there was no fresh Pizza to be had. I went to a table and had to bus it myself as there wasn't a clean table to be found. It dawned on me why the unoccupied tables where so full of dishes; I was not the only person having to buss their tables

After I sat down, I had to wait to get the choice of stale pizza due to the fact they had no plates available at the buffet. But I was intertained by the homeless couple camping in the adjoining booth. They weren't eating but had moved into the booth to use its power for their mobile devices. They have continued to add a certain ambiance to the place.

At 1:30 the one girl at the counter managed to get a fresh pizza on the buffet. Of course some of the patrons and their young children didn't care about there not being and didn't feel the need for a clean plate.

At this time I asked for the manager but was told he is busy in the phone.

I decided to help out and began bussing the tables and taking the dirty service ware to the counter. After my 9th table I ran out of room on the counter and gave up. However I did manage to get a plate from the five clean plates that finally came out of the back.

I then went to my booth and called the store to speak to the manager, Mike. Mike did in fact answer the phone and when I asked him to come out front let me know that he was busy. I told him the status of his restaurant and he told me he was too busy.

My job decided to order pizza for lunch for all the employees. We sat around for an hour waiting and waiting on the order. When I called to check the status of our order, I was told they only had one driver and that the driver was on their way back to the store to pick up our pizza and bring it to us and it would be another 20 minutes. So then I called back to make sure we wouldn't be getting a cold pizza, and I was placed on hold for over 5 minutes and finally told that they were out of pizza dough and would not be fulfilling our order. So we were not even informed that our order would not be fulfilled. Then, one of my coworkers calls back to see if they really are out of pizza, and they proceeded to take the order and said it would be ready within 15 minutes. We then questioned how they could fill that order if we were just told they were out of pizza?! That makes zero sense. The person we spoke with gave the excuse that they used the majority of their dough on an order for Walmart and that took priority I guess. I told him I was also ordering for my store and they didn't seem to care. Ultimately, it was a COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL experience. They failed to tell us they were not going to fulfill our order and our employees waited around for over an hour for their lunch to be delivered. It's safe to say PIZZA HUT as a lunch option has been knocked off our list! If I could give zero...

Tonight's Pizza Hut experience I'm giving only 4 ⭐'s due to the fact that they had a 2 hour wait for their delivery time. Come to find out they are extremely short on delivery drivers and if you need a job, well here is your chance. We placed our order on line and used a debit card. Only to have them call and explain to us the situation. They did say we could pickup our Pizza's there in about 15 minutes and that's what we did. Even though it was not my 1st choice. They gave us a free 2 liter Pepsi for our trouble. The Pizza's were really good and fixed per our instructions. So If you like pizza🍕, give them a try, but you may want to call and check with them about their delivery times. Especially if you have no transportation to drive into town and pickup your order. Pizza Hut Corsicana has a nice big dine in seating area, was clean and they do have a buffett inside during the day. Hours of buffett, not sure of? Check before you plan on buffett eating.
