American Dream Pizza Downtown — Restaurant in Corvallis

Food was completely inedible tonight. My husband was very frustrated with the amount of time that it took for the food to arrive. We had stood in line for 10 minutes, 5:38pm arrival time, and our order took quite a while for it to get into the system. It was probably a new guy on the register because it took close to 10 minutes for him to get our order in (receipt says 5:50pm), I will give them the benefit of the doubt. We had a half cheese pizza half olive bacon and mushroom pizza. We ordered two beers and waited and waited, I guess we should have ordered our food on the drive. When the pizza finally came out, the crust and the cheese was so salty that my kids went through three glasses of water to eat 1 small square each. My husband tried to tell the staff how to dissatisfied he was with the staff and the pizza. They sent out the manager who my husband unfortunately complained about the amount of time it took instead of the horrible taste of the food. The manager stated that the amount of time that it took (20 minutes wait line and 30 minutes for food, 50 minutes total) was completely reasonable for a sit-down restaurant. I was grateful that the manager was willing to come out and talk to us but it didn't make the pizza edible. By this point we were so dejected, frustrated and unheard that we decided to leave. My kids only ate two or three bites each. I took down an entire slice of pizza. When we got home, I fed them leftovers. The pizza was just bad and went into the trash. We couldn't finish more than 10% of a $37 pizza!

The atmosphere is nice downtown and it's hard to beat a day like today for beauty. The inside of the restaurant seems nice but we ate outside. Too bad the food was completely inedible! Definitely don’t eat here! I ordered only 2 slices of pizza and after a half hour of waiting someone walked around the restaurant saying my first name caring a box of pizza; given that it was a “Box” I did not think it was for me since I only ordered 2 slices of pizza. After around 40 minutes total I went up to the front and asked about my 2 slices of pizza that I ordered, it turns out it was in the box and it’s only 2 slices. They brought it out to me. The pizza was absolutely awful, it literally truly tasted like tombstone frozen pizza that you can get at any grocery store in the frozen section for a lot cheaper. The tombstone frozen pizza honestly taste better than what I experienced at American Dream Pizza (What a waste of precious money!) This was supposed to be a special occasion for me and when I finally ate the pizza After 40 minutes for 2 slices I found myself extremely frustrated and upset that the pizza tasted horrible. Everything is expensive these days and I have a family, this was the day I was able to get away and do stuff for myself and I won’t have this opportunity again for a long time. I can’t express how frustrating it is to have this experience and have basically two slices of pizza which taste worse than frozen pizza. Literally awful pizza and I can’t believe this pizza joint is still standing. I come here often as I own a business extremely close to this location however sunday the 18th of September 2022 around 7pm I called in a to go order. The customer service I received was unbelievable and something I normally don’t encounter here. At first I was informed that it would take over an hour and the way it was worded made it seem like they didn’t want to take my order in the first place. As if I was causing an inconvenience to them. I told him I had no problem waiting and to take their time and I ordered the one topping large American dream pizza I specified the $20 price because it’s a special they offer. He told me they don’t have any specials. I attempted to tell him , That must be a mistake because I’ve ordered it regularly for quite some time. His response shocked me. He told me not to tell him how to do his job and accused me of lying. Verbatim “we’ll I don’t know what to tell you. You must be lying because I know how to do my job and we do not offer any specials” I just hung up. I didn’t know how to respond to such aggressiveness and I was starving so I just let it go.
