Had to battle between 2 or 3 stars, I am only giving it 3 stars because of Tuesday night trivia. Service is somewhere between Applebee’s and Buffalo Wild Wings (not very good), there are a couple of good servers but the rest are meh. On multiple occasions some of the servers would grab the check off of our table before we could sign it. We have been going there for months and we would order a kids Grilled Cheese just to tie us over until happy hour. Our most recent waitress refused to serve it to us because we weren’t 12 yrs old. We asked for a grilled cheese with no side and we were charged $13.99 (the price of the b.l.t.t). We stated that we weren’t going to pay 14 dollars for a grilled cheese when we usually paid $6, she then told us the best she could do was $9. That same waitress also used our table to sort out her table’s tickets and had customers’ credit cards spread out, not safe and disrespectful. My wife and I have loved coming here but the service has been getting worse and the waitresses have been...
Read moreI really like this place and want them to do well. Corvallis is in desperate need of a good sports bar, and the Angry Beaver is so close.
The new ownership is doing well in upgrading the interior and making the space welcoming. Service is generally prompt and friendly.
The food is reasonably priced and well above average, particularly as compared to the current state of affairs at Buffalo Wild Wings. Particularly recommend the slow roasted corned beef Reuben. Don't so much recommend the French Dip. Good tap list with clean lines.
Where they're lacking is the emphasis on sports. TVs and channel management have improved dramatically over the previous owner, but if it ain't the Beavers, it's not the place to catch the game. The projector is infrequently used and even more rarely is there game audio, even for significant standalone events like late stage March Madness, Sunday / Monday night football or the NFL playoffs. Buffalo Wild Wings prioritizes that, and that seems to be where the sports...
Read moreNice atmosphere for watching sports (tons of TV's) and had a small arcade upstairs. That's about all that was good. Paid $15 for the "special steak and fries" but got a steak that was 3oz or less and Applebee's serves an 8oz steak with 2 sides for the same price! Freaking unbelievable. On top of that, I asked for medium done and received medium well. So not only do they over charge for food, they also can't cook it properly. The salad I received was very good (though I've priced as well) and they know how to serve gluten free and dairy free. The only reason I'm even giving 2 stars is because they know how to deal with dietary restrictions and my wife said her overpriced burger was pretty good tasting.
All TVs are running Roku and what looked like sling TV, so they had all the games...
