Do not go to this place if you are wanting a delicious food experience. We came in right as it opened and immediately picked up on the smell of urine. The Miso soup was old and disgusting. Just don’t stir it and see what happens to the soup. Gross. It just opened and there were dirty buckets of dishes. Like a ton of dishes. Not sure if they were from the night before but on the floor were customers can walk by to the bathroom and see. You can also see them from your hibachi table. The bathroom floor was sooo sticky. The sink was literally falling out of the counter. Mold all over the rim of the sink. Not clean. The ONE chef they had dumped teriyaki sauce on everything and then a weird vinegary sauce for the noodles. Everything had sauce on it. Then he whips out the garlic salt right from the spice cabinet, Laurys bottle and everything and asks if you want it. Usually they put it in another container and act all special. This was a minor thing I noticed but I noticed. The salad was super runny. Like they added a ton of water or it wasn’t fresh. But way thin and watery. Didn’t get offered chop sticks and when we got our check our sushi order was finally ready. 5 rolls and I asked them to make it go. I should have just said no thank you and left but my husband felt bad so I hope this is amazing sushi but my hopes are not high after eating at this place. If you are looking for cleanliness. This is not the place for you. This place is ehh. At its best. Don’t recommend this place at all. If you have ever been to a hibachi grill don’t compare to this place cause it doesn’t compare to any other place I’ve been too. Just plain gross.

The teppanyaki is like night market teppanyaki and the food was very salty (entertainment > food), so don’t have high expectations for their food when you come here, it’s not what you think it is. The raw fish of the nigiri are spongy and lack of flavor (frozen ?). They also have a serious problem for their hygiene, they have nasty toilets and extremely greasy apparel on the chef, and his keep touching it while cooking my food. My appetite lost 50% immediately. In short, the restaurant is suit for entertainment, but not really for decent teppanyaki and sushi. One more reminder, keep everything clean before you start cooking. Hope you make some changes.

While visiting Corvallis, I chose to come in based on the good reviews and my craving sushi. My husband and 2 sons ordered from the hibachi grill menu and I ordered sushi and a roll. My sushi was soft and fresh, the roll was the Wasahi roll I believe. I loved !! It was so fresh and delicious. It didn't have any rice or seaweed, it was put together with thin cucumber. We all enjoyed the chef's hibachi show. He was nice and friendly. My husband and sons had steak, shrimp and salmon. Their food was tasty as well.

Went there for my birthday and was horribly disappointed. The quick version: waited forever, rarely got service and left an 1.5 later with having only eaten our appetizers.

What happened: 6:00pm Upon arrival we were seated promptly upstairs (this is where I think everything went wrong). Thankfully my husband asked the hostess for drinks because it was almost 15 min of seating there before a waiter came. 6:15 We had our order ready when they arrived so we were hoping our apps would be out soon 6:45 One of our apps came and over the next 30 min the rest of our apps and 'kitchen' dishes came out (we ordered edamame, seaweed salad, fried rice and crab rangoon in addition to our sushi). 7:15 Our sushi comes out. Two of our 3 rolls were tempura and they were soggy! They must have been sitting for awhile because the sauce had completely soaked into the tempura and there was no crunch at all. Our third roll was a Philadelphia roll which was almost warm (supposed to be cold) and the salmon was shredded?!? It was competing unappetizing and we complained as soon as we could got our waiters attention. I ended up going to the bathroom, hoping to come back to fresh rolls, only to come out to the news that they wouldn't remake them because they were fresh and not made from frozen rolls. 7:30 We immediately left only paying for our apps. Which was still $25

Some other notes: I was facing the wall so I couldn't see everything that was going on, my husband noticed some things that bothered him but I didn't see any of it There was another couple seated after us who waited almost 20 minutes and then left without ever being served I think our waiter was new and was assigned all of upstairs and some downstairs About 1/2 of the tables in the restaurant were full

Why 2 stars instead of 1? The apps were delicious. The fired rice had lots of flavor and was cooked perfectly, the crab rangoon was probably the best I've ever had and their edamame was hot, perfectly salted and crisp.

My suggestion: If you still want to go sit at the sushi bar and plan to be there over an hour - You probably won't get forgotten downstairs plus if your sushi is done and sitting you might be able to see it and...

The food is absolutely amazing. This is my favorite place in Corvallis absolutely hands down to get sushi. That being said the service is absolutely horrible here. Typically the service is bad and very slow and all the food comes out at once instead of laying appetizers and then entree. Me and my partner came on Valentine’s Day, we had no expectations knowing the service is typically slow and coupling it with the fact that it was a nice date place. We waited 30 minutes before being acknowledged by anyone. When we got sat we sat there for literally ONE HOUR before I had to flag a waitress down. And it was not just us, there was 7 other groups in our section waiting for one. One of them left after 45 minutes. After finally taking our order it took another 20 minutes to get a miso soup (which I’m sure is pre prepared). After we got our appetizers after an hour and 40 minutes we noticed that 3 tables who had gotten there significantly after us had already been given their food and paid the bill! And after a brief look around nearly everyone who got there after us had already eaten. It seemed like due to an overflow of guests they put us where the hibachi should be and completely forgot about everyone they sat there for 2 hours. Me and my partner both work in the restaurant business and this was absolutely unacceptable. At the very least they should have not kept seating people when others had been sitting there for an hour without drinks. Sushi was bomb tho, get the...
