When we arrived there was a short 10-15 minute wait, I put my name and number on the wait list and sat down in the waiting area for our table to be ready. A little later on a group of 6 came in and got seated before us, my boyfriend and I just assumed it was because there was only bigger tables available. I received a text that my table was ready so we went up to the host stand and the lady asked for my name. There was a younger girl, a girl who looked a little older than her and a lady who looked to be the manager, her name is Cynthia or however you spell it. Anyways the younger girl had put my name into the system and was very sweet. She had the menus and silverware in her hand when the other girl there told her that she had seen people at the table that she was going to take us to which then the manager said, “How are you going to sit someone and not put it in the system? You have such a mess up here”, and then told the younger girl to go to a different table. I thought this was very unprofessional since we were right in front of her when she said these things. When we got to the table I noticed the you get girl sniffing and saw tears form in her eyes, I felt awful since no young teen should be getting yelled at by their older manager about something that the manager should have under control. The service was honestly mid, we didn’t get played with our appetizer, no refills on the drinks, and the salad and entree came out at the same time. The whole time we were dinning we saw the manager that was up front go around and table check all the tables around ours but not ours. We even had the plates stacked up with empty glasses and she didn’t say anything to us. She walked past us about 5 or 6 times and completely ignored us, which made us just feel so welcomed! The crazier part is that I work for Darden and had asked for the employee discount and nobody came to our table to ask how our meal was, any other time i’ve gone to a Darden owned restaurant the manager always goes to our table. I’m honestly just very disappointed in the manager and she doesn’t seem like someone I’d like...
Read moreI recently dined at Olive Garden, and while the food was outstanding, the service left much to be desired. Upon arrival, we were promptly seated, which was a good start. However, things started to go downhill from there. After sitting down, we waited far too long (around 15 to 20min) before anyone came over to greet us or offer drinks. It felt like the staff were either overwhelmed or just not paying attention. We tried to get the attention of the server, but they were busy with other tables, and it took a significant amount of time before someone acknowledged us.
Once the server arrived, the service felt rushed, and it seemed like they were trying to juggle too many things at once. Our drink refills were delayed and we had to ask for them, and our plates were left on the table longer than expected, creating a feeling of neglect. It was clear that the restaurant had some staffing issues or just wasn’t operating at full capacity.
That being said, the food was as delicious as ever. The breadsticks were warm and perfectly seasoned, and the salad that came with my meal was fresh and crisp. The main course, pasta with a rich and creamy sauce, was flavorful and satisfying. The portion sizes were generous, and everything was cooked to perfection. It’s clear that Olive Garden takes pride in their food, which made the poor service more frustrating.
Overall, while the food made the visit worthwhile, the service was subpar. I’d still consider returning, but only with lower expectations for...
Read moreWent to late lunch/early dinner Sunday. Took a seat at the bar to wait our 10 to 15 minutes. The entire bar tip was filthy. No bartender in sight. After 7 minutes one appeared and asked if he could get us something. I ordered a 7&7 and the guy had to seriously think for the better part of 90 seconds about what was in a 7&7??? Also ordered a Budweiser and he stated back to us, A Bud Light? If I wanted a bud light I would have asked for that! This long haired, slightly red headed bartender got money and a tip for a bill from a couple at the end of the bar. He made change and then promptly took out his wallet from his back pocket and put money in there and put it back in his pocket. I have never seen anyone pocket their tips right after a transaction like that. Very very low life. Next we went to our table and found that stuffed mushrooms were taken off the menu. Then we had ok service by Hanna but she never asked if we wanted more breadsticks. When it came to check out we had to use the ziosk machine on the table and it came up with the table next to us$145.00? Seriously? To top off the great experience…no...
