The food was very dull other than fries which were completely ruined by a seasoning. The grease was old. The color of the fries a dead giveaway and then taste. The buttered bun had such a light butter crisp taste that it was obvious that it was slapped on in very small amount right in the center so the rest of the bun was hard darkened and dry. The chili was 😭. A total mess. It was like warm and was very unatural. Tasted like a bunch of powder mix. They asked if I wanted onion and I said yes. Folks onion in chili should always be cooked in chili not added onto at last second which made the chili chewy. It should never ever every be chewy. I came about noon. I was not thrilled how a young lady dresses with belly button showing so if your a family person this place isn't for you. So many improvements are needed. I don't think...

Edit: The menu has been changed, many items have been removed, there are no more nightly specials, and they don't even serve tacos anymore, all the prices have been jacked up too. This used to be my favorite place to eat in Council Bluffs but I won't be back. I suggest Sugar's off East Kanesville instead.

Original review: If you're in the area and looking for a local dive with good eats, look no further. The burgers are big and juicy, my wife enjoys their chicken wraps, and the whole family gets fat on tacos when we visit for all-you-can-eat taco Tuesdays (get the fried shells). Parking is plentiful, staff is friendly, and the food was served hot and in good time. The interior is a bit run down but that's part of the dive charm. Wanted to eat there for the Tuesday all-you-can-eat tacos last week. Got there around 7:20 and they were somewhat busy, but not full. Got menus and a beer fairly quickly and then we waited at least 45 minutes for the gal to come back and take our orders and have another drink. Told her we no longer wanted food as we didn't know how long it would actually take to get it since we waited 45 minutes already. I've eaten here many times and the food is good and service is normally good as well. Not this time. If it happens again I'll stay clear of the Tuesday...
