I'm not entirely sure if this place has finally changed hands or not, or if the same family is running it, but this location was family owned (as far as I can tell) for a very, very long time. It was easily one of my favorite chinese food locations in Council Bluffs; the food's great, it's mostly your standard chinese food offerings - but their egg rolls are fantastic, and their hot and sour soup is nothing short of amazing.
If you go for nothing else, treat yourself to the hot and sour soup, it's easily one of the best things they offer.
The only reason I don't give this location 5 stars is because the location has been there a long, long time now. The food's still good, but the location is starting to look a little worse...
Read moreI will never set foot in this restaurant again and will encourage everyone I know to follow suit. The lady working at the front desk is incredibly rude and unprofessional. Update on carry out food.
The food tasted burnt. The egg rolls are nothing more than the ones you get out of the Walmart freezer section. If they are not then they stole the recipe. The rest of the order consisting of house special lo Mein, Chicken wings, General So's, and steam dumplings ended up being trashed because of the burnt flavors. The chicken and dumplings tasted like they were cooked in two-year-old oil. As for the rest it tasted as if it was scorched on a dirty Pan.
