STAY AWAY. About 8 months ago I had reviewed this place with 5 stars and I said I was glad they were back open. I recently went back and found out the changed ownership at this location . We have been going to this IHOP for more then 20 years and I never thought I would ever encourage people to not go to any restaurant but this is one to avoid at all costs. I have always ordered what ever the monthly promo special was and when that special had items in it that I could not have it was not problem to leave that item off. Not substitute but just not put it on what I was having. The current special had banana pancakes with banana cream topping. I asked to have the combo without the toppings and just regular pancakes. I was told the OWNER would not allow it. I said I had an intolerance to the bananas and was told they can only give we exactly what it said. That was the OWNERS rule. I could get the same thing with regular pancakes but it would be $5.00 more. Again I was not substituting anything extra just regular pancakes without the bananas. So I would have to pay extra to not have something put on due to a food intolerance. Not something special just REGULAR pancakes. Other recent reviews are all people saying the same thing that the new owner is the problem. You can clearly tell by the atmosphere inside that none of the workers want to be there. I will be contacting the corporate office, which is in Glendale CA and the phone number is on the ihop website. I encourage all the other long time customers who have had similar experience to do the same. Their is 2 other locations 10 minutes away that will help you with all your pancake cravings and will do it...
Read moreThere was an waitress named Mireya who worked the night shift on Monday, July 18th that absolutely disappointed me. I respect the restaurant industry, it’s not easy, but she didn’t need to be rude to my family and I. When we came in, she asked how many we needed to be seated and my brother & I go “5” and she rolled her eyes and looked like she didn’t want to do her job. She gave my stepdad and mother an attitude over the food that was inedible. She gave me an attitude and told me to not be rude and I had to stand up and say something because I wasn’t going to take it. I understand if you’re having a bad day/shift, but please come in with a fresh slate with every customer! I will NEVER return to this location because of MIREYA. I hope she learns from this situation because she handled it very much poorly. I saw how rude she was to the other customers and none of them were disrespectful. We were all patient. I never like to fight with people but that little back and forth I had with Mireya stressed me out to where I started shaking. I suffer from really bad anxiety, so that says a lot that I even spoke up to her. She disrespected my family and that wasn’t cool. Please, do better or let Mireya go.
Update on 7/23/2022: the manager had told my mother that they were going to speak to their higher ups to see if she can get a full refund but never called my mother back.. really...
Read moreOther than the horrible customer service, the food was mediocre, and the establishment was too small, I wouldn't reccomend bringing a family of four or more. Kelly I believe was our host or server not too sure because she never introduced herself, I'm not sure if it is customary but I kinda like the idea of knowing who I'm speaking with when handling my food it's one of the reasons I go to ihop. An attitude reflects everything but our desire to stay was long out the door... Kelly even greeted the ones who sat behind us! Sad. I ordered the chicken spicy something it was horrible, seriously the chicken needs to be changed on that sandwich, so not worth 12$, also a chicken salad and kids menu items plus 2 sides of bacon, first off the ranch was mixed into my salad, I have never in my life have some one mix in ranch into my salad at any IHOP, seriously! Bad customer service throughout our stay, drinks we got 1 refill within an hours time. When I went to pay a gentleman asked how was everything, I was hesitant to say anything due to lack of care or as if anything would have been done, I simply said; "eh it was aaahlright". I might return because the breakfast is always delicious, which is what my kids love. I'm still giving you 3 stars...
