Wow, I will never ever shop at Ashleys Furniture ever again. What a total disappointment. I went in about 3 weeks ago in search for some bar stools. After shopping around we ended up purchasing a dining table set as well. The associate Justin stated that these items were not in stock and is somewhere in their warehouse. He made a joke like they'll stumble upon it eventually and ship it out sooner than anticipated. I was totally fine with receiving my items a few weeks late but not 4 months later! I continued to look at some other items. We ended up looking at a bedroom set and decided that we may be interested in that as well. Justin entertained us by telling us if we purchased the bedroom set and tempurpedic mattress, we would be getting some items for free. Him and his manager then gave us a pair of dressers and night stands for free but tacked on plenty of accessories and warranties that costed nearly 1k. So really was it worth it? Maybe. We purchased it anyways because we were in a rush to leave since we really just came for barstools and had plans ahead of us. Plus, he clearly stated that if we decided to cancel anything, they would do so no questions asked.
The next day, I checked my orders and found that the barstools and dining table were on back order until February. I purchased these items first week of November. Justin made it seem like their warehouse would eventually find the products, but boy was he wrong! I went back in to cancel the back ordered items. I was about to cancel everything since my headboard was on back order as well. The manager there ensured me that they would be able to install the bed/base without the headboard so I decided to allow the headboard to come in after my bed. They removed dining and barstools from my invoice, but didn't refund me the tax I paid for them (around $250). They stated I go home and recalculate my order and come back.
3 weeks later, my tempurpedic mattress came in without the headboard. The shipping team informed me that they could not install the bed without the headboard and now my bedframe is in my garage and I'm sleeping on the floor. Also, the bedroom dressers have extremely low quality! The drawers make loud crumbling noises as I open and close them. One of the drawers doesn't even close completely shut, there's a huge gap unless I close it in a specific angle lifting the box up while pushing in. What a total downgrade from the bedroom set I bought at another furniture store.
Complete lesson learned: DO NOT BUY ASHLEYS!
Low quality furniture. Even their adjustable base they sold with the tempurpedic isn't tempurpedic brand. It costed me about $1700 with a $300 extended warranty for a no-name base. Tempurpedic sell their bases for $1500 with much more features.
Update 2/16/22 So itâs now February and I am still without a bed frame. They were finally able to deliver the missing headboard on 2/12/22 (3 months from when I made the purchase), but it came in completely damaged when arriving to my house for the installation. Basically came, inspected the package and left. I was lucky enough to schedule it again but on 2/16/22. They installed the frame and headboard (still came in slightly damaged but I am sick and tired of sleeping on the floor, so i said install it anyways thinking I can finally sleep on a bed after 3 months of being on the floor). After inspecting everything, they find out that theyâre missing hardware to install the storage pieces of the bed frame. So they pretty much left me with a half installed bed frame with nowhere to sleep. I now have to wait for a call from a technician to install the rest of my bed. In the meantime myself and my pregnant wife will have to figure out where to sleep since I doubt I can place my mattress inside the empty frame. Worst experience in my...
Read moreInitial visit was fantastic, the moment we walked in, we were greeted by Nelson Landaverde who was hands down the best sales associate ever. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, funny, and not ONCE did he ever try to pressure us into buying any furniture. He allowed us to browse the store after greeting us, and eventually made his way over to ask if we have any questions. We had a few furnitures that we liked, and he immediately whipped out a tablet and showed us the difference colors/styles/etc. Unfortunately, we were a week away before moving in, so we didnât want to rush by purchasing furniture before settling down, so we thanked him for his help and asked for his business card and left, planning on coming back soon. Fast forward to today, we came to purchase a sofa and the mattress we were looking for, now that we moved into the new place and unfortunately for us, Nelson was not there yet. We were greeted by Luis, who was nice and started to show us the type of sofa we were looking for. Starting from there is where it went downhill. At that point, I was regretting not making an appointment with Nelson or even asking if he clocked in yet, since we arrived around opening.. The entire time Luis was helping us, it felt like we were buying a new car, due to how many times he tried to pressure us into buying unnecessary things. He told us that he will give the sofa we liked for 50% off if we purchase one of the luxury mattresses which were really nice, but costs $2000-$3000.. We declined since we had a mattress in mind already that was out front for just $300. We walked over to check it out again, and he kept going on about how the luxury mattress is much better, but we already had set our minds during our first visit. We then went back to the sofa and he told us that he can he will try to give us a 10% discount on the sofa after talking to his manager, but he cannot guarantee it. (He said earlier he will give it to us for 50% off if we purchase a luxury mattress, yet he has to get confirmation for 10% off and it isnât even guaranteed that it will be approved..? How can he give us a 50% discount without manager approval, yet requires an approval for 10% off?) Also, he told me that if I leave him a good Google review, I can get a higher discount? I didnât really plan on giving a positive review for a discount, since we were having a negative experience anyways. The worst part was, when we asked for a total estimate for the sofa and mattress, we explained that we are fine with picking it up ourselves and assembling it, so please give us the cost without any delivery charges, but he KEPT going ON and ON about how it is important to have them deliver and assemble it.. He kept showing me the total cost with delivery/assembly which was the opposite of what we asked for, and wouldnât budge with providing us the estimate we asked for. We eventually saw Nelson out front and wanted to ask if he could help us instead, but didnât want to be rude to Luis. But, seriously the man would not stop trying to pressure us into paying more for something we didnât want. The manager who was next to him was friendly, and gave me the total cost without delivery/assembly, which was $200-$400 cheaper. I was on a time crunch, so we agreed on the cost and purchased the furniture, but up until I signed, Luis continued to stress that delivery and assembly is important and to read the directions on making an appointment for pickup.. If I do plan on coming back for more furniture later on, I am definitely going to make an appointment with Nelson prior to arrival.. First visit with him was 5/5 stars, but todayâs experience...
Read moreThe story is : On 05/16/2024, I went to buy furniture at an Ashley store located at 2753 E. Eastland Center Drive, Suite 2050, West Covina, CA 91791.Because I donât speak English well, I found a sales who speaks the same language as me. I purchased furniture worth 1,220.70, which included 1,099.99, for the five-year warranty. Because I donât speak English well, I was deceived into buying it by a salesperson named Lily without fully understanding the terms. Second, they sent the wrong mattress to me. Third, I chose the size of the bed according to the size chart provided by Ashley. When they delivered it to my home, the size chart and actual item did not match. Fourth, my house was just delivered, and I hope it will be kept clean, but the delivery staff from Ashley very bad during the installation process. I provided them with shoe covers, but they impatiently put them on and then impatiently took them off, dragged all the furniture onto my carpet and dismantled it, polluting all my carpet. Fifth, after delivering the furnitures, they forced me to sign the receipt quickly to accept the items. I hoped they would give me 3 minutes to consider whether to keep the bed, because I found that the size of the bed they gave me was too big, but they didn't give me any time, not even 1 minute to force me to sign, I had no choice but to sign for them, and they left. On the third day, I found many problems with the bed and communicated with them, but they said there was no problem, and finally because they didn't answer the phone, my husband and I went to the store to find the sales and manager to argue with them, and showed them the photos of the bed and mattress, and they admitted that they gave me the wrong one. The above five problems made me very frustrated, and I contacted the sales many times, but she didn't reply to messages or answer the phone. Finally, my husband and I had no choice but to go to their store again on June 1st, find their area manager named Shawn, and tell him the whole story. Their solution for me was to replace the bed frame, which meant that I had to wait for the next few days. I had to spend a lot of time waiting for them to replace it for me, take out the wrong one and bring in the new one, and replace it with the right one. It would take me at least half a day for their mistake, so I was unwilling to accept their solution. My request was to ask them to return the entire bed to me. Later, Shawn refused and turned around and left, and called the police to drive us away. I donât think this is the result of the manager's handling...
