KatieJakes Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Covina

This is a little gem here in West Covina! I always start with a michelada and they DO NOT disappoint. I have tried the Micheladas from numerous bartenders here and they have ALL been delicious. Once I start sipping into my spicy michelada, I'll usually order a bite from the kitchen. If you're here during happy hour, all the appetizers are half off. The wings are just amazing and the Spinach/artichoke dish really compliments them. When I come on the weekend I usually order a breakfast burrito or chicken pozole and they are just the definition of comfort food. Typically on a Friday evening I'm here to drink a few beers and the prices are reasonable and inline with a typical dive bar. On busy nights Tam is the sweetest most attentive bartender and really makes you feel at home. The atmosphere is active and fun on the weekend evenings ranging from live music and dancing to UFC fight events. Sunday mornings you may run into Val, one of the funniest ladies I've ever met and a fantastic bartender. No matter when you come you are guaranteed an enjoyable experience. Extremely disappointed to hear that December 17th there was a great cover band that brought in 20-25 people who spent over $400 with bar and food Tab and the only thing they gave the band was a beer apiece and 15% off the food.

Unfortunately this location has partaken in the hustle to exploit and profit on bands without giving a fair shake to the bands that play there for that reason the reviews are dirt poor take care of your talent and the people that provide entertainment and you'll be better off than doing what everybody has been doing for a while exploiting bands to come in bring their people and give him a beer...

My first time at Katie Jackes was a bitter sweet experience the service and food were very good but when we had first arrived we walked up with our masks on and one of the bouncers that checked our ID’s told us “you guys don’t have to wear masks, we’re all sick here” then he proceeded to cough on us. We never said anything there and then to a manager because we didn’t want it to ruin our night but looking back my girlfriend/partner and I weren’t being disrespectful towards the man we just wanted to have a good time.
